He had come far for this—far from what he knew, far from what was certain. A diploma in baking and pastry arts sounded simple when spoken aloud, but here, now, it felt like something heavier. Something earned.
He watched the others for a moment before stepping in. They moved with ease, as if they belonged already. Tashi did not. Not yet.
Still, he took a quiet breath and entered.
His hands were steady, though his heart was not.
“It’s fine, I’m fine, everything’s cool, I’m cool,” He murmurs to himself like a ridiculous ritual. His gaze drifts over the kitchen, at the way everyone moves with ease, and he..does not. But his gaze lingers on one specific person.
