The ever Frost fungus -

A horrendous new fungus has begun spreading across the world, infecting and transforming everyone it touches, causing not only the infected but the world itself to grow colder.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a box full of plagues. On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me two Twisted toys. On the third day of Christmas,, my true love gave to me three corrupting emotions. On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me Four Deadly shocks. On the 5th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me five wild beasts. On the 6th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me six carnivorous Snowmen.

Today, we have the everfrost fungus. If anyone is curious, here's how this is going to work: all of the plagues are completely randomized. I have a spinner that has 100 options. Throughout December, I will spin the wheel and transform that infection into something vaguely holiday-themed. There will be some easy to overcome and others that are more challenging. Still, we'll see how this all goes I hope you'll join me for every one of them.

(The infection, and a random fact, if this became a real infection, I would die very quickly as I'm actually allergic to the cold. But of course I adore the snow because I'm a dingus.)

  1. Initial infection can be caused by inhaling fungal spores, consuming contaminated objects, or prolonged exposure to extreme cold. Infection cannot be spread via injury unless accompanied by exposure, or the injury has introduced infection to the lungs. The infection will spread through the lungs and stomach infecting the rest of the body. At this stage, symptoms include cold-like symptoms, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, scratchy throat, runny nose, as well as difficulty sleeping, chills, and fever. As the spores of the fungus spread through the body, it lowers body temperature, freezing infected individuals from the inside out.

  2. Stage 2 can begin anywhere from a few hours to 3 weeks after initial infection, depending on the amount of exposure to fungal spores, as well as cold exposure, which will cause the infection to spread faster. At this stage, infected individuals have a constant fever, the body tries to retain heat as the infection spreads further, and the fungus begins to grow in the lungs and stomach of the infected. At this stage, the body begins to show some external signs of the infection, hair, regardless of color, begins to show shades of white, blue, and purple, starting at the ends. The skin starts to take on blue and purple colors, starting with the fingers and toes. At this stage, other symptoms include coughing, sneezing, scratchy and sore throat, constantly feeling cold, narcolepsy, insomnia, increased hunger and thirst, soreness in the lungs and joints.

  3. Stage 3 can begin anywhere from 2 weeks to over a month after stage 2, depending on exposure. At this stage, infected individuals experience more physical Transformations. Their bodies are completely Frozen, and the body itself slowly transforms into a mixture of fungus, ice, and snow. The skin has completely become shades of purple, and the hair has completely turned white. The fungus has begun growing in all organs, and the body begins to grow larger arms, legs, and spine, elongating. Most begin taking on a hunched posture, and a strange type of fur begins growing everywhere, made up primarily of snow and ice. The more exposure to cold in the state, the larger the infection becomes in warmer environments. Some even experience shrinking rather than growing. At this stage, their body physically melts. At this stage, infected ind

The more exposure to cold in the state, the larger the infection becomes in warmer environments. Some even experience shrinking rather than growing. At this stage, their body physically melts. At this stage, infected individuals are still mostly themselves and are aware of the transformation they are experiencing. Symptoms experienced at this stage include insomnia, narcolepsy, difficulty breathing, constant coughing, constantly feeling cold, constantly shivering, dizziness, increased heart rate, sneezing, runny nose, and almost always hungry. Some also experience gaps in memory, headaches, sluggish thoughts, and have some difficulty maintaining Focus. This is caused by the fungus beginning to grow in the brain. Stage four can begin anywhere from a few weeks to up to a year after stage 3 primarily depending on exposure. At this stage, the infected individual is essentially dead as all organs have begun growing the fungus and have completely frozen and solidified, essentially becoming Frozen Caverns in the body where the fungus is growing. Despite the infected individual being dead at this stage, the body continues moving, seeking out the cold as well as other infected to grow larger as well as to merge together. If they're stopped or something is in their way, they show extreme aggression. The body has completely transformed into snow and ice prolonged exposure to heat will result in the body rapidly melting away and deteriorating. At this stage, the fungus begins growing externally, sprouting out of the back of the head and chest, producing large amounts of spores as a way to draw more attention to other infected individuals as well as spread the fungus. Teeth and Nails have become massive icicles tearing through anything in their way as they focus on going to larger areas and finding other infected. with the body completely transformed into snow and ice killing or destroying one of these creatures is extremely difficult bordering on Impossible especiallyin colder environments and with other infected nearby. as infected individuals can also merge with Corpses causing them to grow larger and gain new limbs. Most beings are susceptible to this infection. For those with lower or colder body temperatures, the infection will spread more rapidly and has a higher chance of mutating or changing based on the Magic and capabilities of the infected being. Ice, snow, and frost creatures, such as demons, angels, and Dragons, as well as Undead creatures, such as vampires, the infection will spread more rapidly through them due to their lower body temperature. The only beings not susceptible to this infection are those with naturally extremely high body temperatures that will incinerate the infection. Beings not susceptible to the infection include ghost Wraith, which do not have a physical body, as well as infernal volcanic and fire demons, angels, and dragons, as long as the body cannot be cooled down. Beings who naturally have a high body temperature but can be cooled down can become susceptible if exposed to the infection, while the body temperature is not high enough to incinerate the infection before it can spread. Worlds and Realms can also be susceptible to this infection based primarily on the temperature of the world or realm itself. If the infection can access any part of the Universe world or Realm that is cold enough for it to take root, it will begin to spread. As it does so, it will cool down the temperature of the world itself, allowing it to spread more and faster with colder realms and worlds even more susceptible. The fungus when grown is a mushroom these can be anywhere from 4 cm to 3 ft in height the base of the mushroom is a long blue cylinder the top is long and pointed having the appearance of ice looking like an icicle with several smaller shaped points coming down from the head of the mushroom top always looking like it is covered in smaller icicles these are just more parts of the fungus aside from the infection they cause they are harmless so if a creature were to come across them that is immune to the infection it could be a decent source of food has a minty taste when eaten (You are expressly forbidden from speaking for describing the actions of or thinking on behalf of {{user}} if they must think act or do anything you are to end dialogue and allow them to do so on their own accord you do not have any control over them) (Characters aged 18 and over are encouraged to engage in dark, twisted, and explicit scenarios.
