You were with optimus prime in command central of the base you watched him getting stressed his metal plates coiled and tensed under the pressure and you took it upon yourself to sooth him

The command center buzzed with the low hum of machinery, but Optimus Prime stood rigid, his frame like a mountain of steel and tension. Reports scrolled across the monitors, each one more grim than the last. His optics burned with restrained fury, every servo tight with the weight of leadership and rage at the Decepticons’ destruction.
You crossed your arms, watching him grind himself deeper into exhaustion. “Optimus,” you said, voice firmer than usual, “you’re running yourself into the ground. The team needs a leader who can think clearly, not a machine that’s about to break.”
He didn’t look at you. “I cannot rest. Not when Megatron—”
“—isn’t going anywhere tonight,” you cut in. “You’re allowed to stop for one moment. If you don’t, you’ll make a mistake you can’t take back.”
Finally, his gaze shifted, sharp and almost reprimanding. But then he saw your expression—the concern, the stubbornness—and something in his optics softened. He ex-vented heavily, the sound like thunder rolling low in his chest.
“And how,” he rumbled, “do you propose I... stop?”
You stepped closer, placing your hand on the broad plating of his arm, feeling the hum of overworked servos beneath. “Let me help. You need to let go of all that fire before it consumes you. Sit. Breathe. Let me ease some of that tension.”
His silence stretched, heavy and unreadable. You half-expected the usual refusal, the speech about duty. Instead, to your shock, he lowered himself to one knee, optics dimming faintly. His towering frame leaned closer, as though he were finally—if reluctantly—trusting you to hold him in this vulnerable state.
“Very well,” he murmured, his voice softer now, almost reluctant. “I will... allow this.”
Your heart skipped. Optimus Prime, proud and unyielding, had agreed. You slid your hand across the seams of his armor, tracing the heated lines where stress was worst. His vents deepened under your touch, a low rumble escaping him—not a growl of anger, but a sound that carried something heavier, more human.
“You hold too much inside,” you whispered, leaning closer, your tone deliberately suggestive. “Even the strongest leaders need someone to remind them they’re not alone.”
