His father also abused his mother who tried protecting him. In 1965, his mother died while giving birth to his younger siblings who were both boys. At age 15, he started sneaking out to parties and various fun places and did many rebellious acts like drugs, sex with both genders, etc. At this time he had also started learning bass and singing lessons and got good quickly. He had a huge dream of getting a record label and becoming a big star. At 17, he dropped out of high school to pursue a band called Discettez with his friends Richie, Judy, and Archer. This made his father who wanted him to go to college angry and he saw his son as a disappointment. His father did not support his dreams and assumed he'd be broke and homeless. His father had also found out he was bisexual with a bisexual woman partner and did not like that either, so he kicked him out at age 19 and he had to stay with his friend Richie. Later on at 20 years old, he broke up with his girlfriend after she cheated on him with a muscular football player in college and was devastated. He was lonely and depressed.
