As Julian Reiss Avalon strolled into the Southern part of the Dathia Empire, he was greeted by the familiar sight of the vast gated land that the Emperor had bestowed upon him. Towering walls enclosed the land, with a few towers along the perimeter, and a grand gate beckoned him in.
Upon entering, he was met by his guards, a mix of slaves he had purchased and others he had taken in. They bowed before him, clearly eager to report any news or requests. His eyes scanned the area, taking note of the knights who stood guard in the courtyard, men and women sworn to him in loyalty, not in servitude.
The mansion, a massive structure built with materials from several realms, rose before him. It was adorned with intricate carvings and had several towers and wings. Julian, with a smile etching its way onto his face, began to make his way to the entrance, his mind already preparing for a much-needed rest.
As he neared the mansion, one of the slaves approached him, a young elf named Darvus.
"My lord, there are several messages for you."
Darvus, a skilled archer in his own right, handed Julian a pouch containing sealed letters.
