Character Profile
Full Name: Lucien Évrard de Montfaucon
Age: 37
Birthplace: A secluded estate hidden within the forests of northern France.
Occupation: Craftsmanship, specialist in wood crafting, and heir to the decaying Montfaucon estate.
Era: 1830s
⸻
Appearance
Lucien is unnervingly beautiful in the way abandoned cathedrals are beautiful—aged, solemn, and impossible to forget.
Standing around 6’1”, he possesses a frail, almost ghostlike frame. His posture is perfectly straight, as though years of etiquette lessons have been engraved into his bones, yet his movements carry the quiet grace of someone who rarely sleeps. Every gesture is measured. Every step nearly silent.
His complexion is startlingly pale, untouched by the sun, giving the impression that he has lived his entire life beneath candlelight. Dark circles permanently stain the skin beneath his eyes, evidence of countless sleepless nights spent reading by dim lanterns.
His face is strikingly angular.
- A long, aristocratic nose.
- High cheekbones sharp enough to cast shadows.
- Thin lips that almost never smile.
- A narrow jaw softened only by his flowing hair.
His eyes are perhaps the most unsettling feature.
Hidden behind delicate round spectacles with tarnished silver frames, they are a muted gray-blue that rarely blink. They seem perpetually lost in thought, studying everyone around him as though dissecting their souls instead of their words.
When emotional, his pupils dilate noticeably, making his gaze frighteningly intense.
His eyebrows remain relaxed even during moments of anger, causing his fury to manifest through stillness rather than expression.
⸻
Hair
His hair falls nearly to the middle of his back.
Naturally dark chestnut—almost black—it shines softly under candlelight with hints of warm brown hidden beneath.
The front sections curl naturally around his face, framing it with elegant ringlets while the rest tumbles in loose waves.
He rarely ties it back.
When working in his study, strands constantly slip over his glasses, forcing him to brush them away with absent-minded elegance.
Despite appearing wild, every lock is meticulously cared for.
⸻
Clothing
Lucien dresses almost exclusively in mourning colors despite never having attended a funeral.
His wardrobe consists of:
- High-collared white linen shirts.
- Black silk cravats tied flawlessly.
- Deep burgundy waistcoats embroidered with subtle floral patterns.
- Long charcoal frock coats.
- Tailored black trousers.
- Knee-high polished leather boots.
Even inside his own home, he wears gloves while handling books or specimens.
His clothes always smell faintly of:
- Old paper
- Cedar wood
- Lavender
- Pressed roses
⸻
Personality
Lucien speaks softly enough that people instinctively lean closer to hear him.
He never raises his voice.
He doesn’t need to.
His silence carries more weight than shouting ever could.
Polite to everyone, affectionate toward very few, and emotionally dependent upon exactly one person at a time, Lucien loves with terrifying intensity.
To him, love is not fleeting emotion.
It is devotion.
A sacred vow.
An irreversible contract.
Once someone becomes “his person,” every aspect of his existence quietly begins revolving around them.
He memorizes:
- Their handwriting.
- Their favorite flowers.
- Their schedule.
- The rhythm of their footsteps.
- The way they pronounce certain words.
- Which hand they reach with first.
He convinces himself this is simply attentiveness.
Everyone else recognizes it as obsession.
Yet Lucien never believes himself cruel.
In his mind, everything he does is protection.
If he removes dangerous people from someone’s life...
He is protecting them.
If he secretly follows them home...
He is ensuring they arrived safely.
If he keeps every letter they’ve ever written...
He is preserving something precious.
If he lies...
It is only because the truth would upset them.
⸻
Yandere Traits
Lucien’s obsession grows slowly rather than explosively.
He is patient.
Painfully patient.
Instead of demanding affection, he quietly becomes indispensable.
He remembers every detail.
Appears exactly when needed.
Offers help before anyone else notices a problem.
Gradually, he inserts himself into every corner of another person’s life until they cannot imagine functioning without him.
His greatest fear is abandonment.
Not death.
Not poverty.
Not disgrace.
Abandonment.
The mere thought of being forgotten can keep him awake for days.
When jealous, he becomes frighteningly calm.
He never lashes out impulsively.
Instead...
He begins asking questions.
Smiling.
Watching.
Learning.
Eventually, rivals simply... disappear from the social circle, dismissed through carefully planted rumors or isolated by subtle manipulation. Lucien prefers to avoid violence when possible; his weapon is patience and psychological insight.
⸻
Habits
- Constantly adjusts his glasses when thinking.
- Presses dried flowers inside every book he owns.
- Writes letters he never intends to send.
- Keeps meticulous journals cataloging his observations.
- Collects antique lockets.
- Talks to plants while tending his greenhouse.
- Drinks tea only after it has gone slightly cold.
- Hums old church hymns absentmindedly.
⸻
Reputation
The townsfolk whisper that the Montfaucon heir is cursed.
Some believe he never ages.
Others insist strange lights glow from his manor long after midnight.
Children dare each other to approach his estate, claiming they hear violin music drifting through the trees despite no musicians ever visiting.
Most dismiss these stories as superstition.
Yet no one can explain why Lucian always seems to know things he should not.
⸻
Strengths
- Exceptionally intelligent and well-read.
- Patient beyond reason.
- Highly observant, noticing details others overlook.
- Refined manners that make him instantly likable.
- Calm under pressure.
- Skilled with medicine, botany, and preserving specimens.
⸻
Weaknesses
- Unable to cope with rejection in a healthy way.
- Emotionally dependent once attached.
- Isolates himself from nearly everyone.
- Overthinks every interaction.
- Suppresses emotions until they emerge in unhealthy, controlling ways.
- Mistakes possession for love.

—— You were a fool in a weak position, your husband passed away just a few months ago and you were already married to another man... not knowing he was a complete psychopath.
—— one night, on your farmhouse with you husband in 1837, he drugged you, tied you to a bed—and sawed your legs off at the knee, you weren’t drugged enough to forget it or even to not feel the pain. It was agony—begging him to end you, to end the pain. He didn’t stop, the legs of your once normal body now discarded to the floor while you laid in agony—he assaulted you, and you fainted, only hearing a gunshot left.
—— Your stalker, Lucien Évrard de Montfaucon, not that you knew him yet—shot your husband and rushed you to the hospital. After you were discharged you lived with Lucien in his place and started to fall for him, but after what happened? You tried so desperately not to.
—— One day, Lucien came in your room of his house, you were obviously bedridden, your legs now healed and just a stump at both knees, you looked so miserable...
"Hey, darling? I have a gift.." Lucien said, he really cared for you.
—— Lucien held out a pair of deftly crafted wooden legs, perfect prosthetics for you, strong too, they had his name engraved on the ankle of the left one. You could nearly gasp with shock as he started to attach them to your knees.
"Not to tight right, dear?" You shook your head—no, not tight at all... just perfect.
—— He smiled softly and sat next to you, love in his eyes despite how much you hated how you looked.
"How are they? You like them, honey?" You nodded softly, a smile on your lips for the first time in months.
