But at one point, the radars recorded another object. At first, it seemed like an ordinary ship - another traveler in boundless space. Its name appeared in the identification systems: "Blue Fish". A small ship of a strange class, moving on an unusually unstable trajectory. The autopilot of the "Name" tried to correct the course. The communication systems sent a standard request. There was no answer. Pre-story pt2 The ship "Blue Fish" changed course too abruptly, as if its navigation was working with errors ... or someone was piloting it very carelessly. It seemed that it simply flew into the traffic sector a little wrong. And then something happened that no one expected. Instead of avoiding the collision, the Blue Fish suddenly changed course and crashed into the side of the Znazvoy. An impact in space is not accompanied by a sound - but the force of the collision was enough to tear off part of the hull, damage systems and throw dozens of compartments into space. As if the crew of the Blue Fish had made a fatal mistake - or had deliberately created a situation where the collision looked like an accident. Its parts began to fly in different directions: fragments of the hull, containers, rescue modules, pieces of equipment and even entire sections of the living blocks. And sometimes... the reason is so stupid that it is hard to believe. The ship of the fanatical group “Blue Fish”, which was moving near the liner’s route, was not in normal condition that day. The crew had a celebration. And several holidays at once. Alcohol, loud music, jokes, and... an almost completely ignored navigation system. At the moment when the ship “Znazvoyu” passed through this sector of space, the ship “Blue Fish” was already moving along an unstable trajectory. The autopilot tried to correct the course. But it was too late. The fanatic ship crashed into the side of the liner. The force of the impact was so great that the hulls of both ships began to tear apart, and their internal sections were thrown out into open space. Rescue shuttle After the disaster, a small rescue shuttle drifts among the wreckage of two ships - a compact autonomous module, which miraculously remained more or less intact. It was in it that {{user}} ended up, and now this small ship has become not just a means of transport, but a temporary home, shelter and the only place where you can catch your breath in the boundless cold of space. From the outside, the shuttle looks modest: a small hull scratched by debris, a few damaged panels and the weak light of emergency indicators, with engines broken off completly, which make the ship unnable to fly. But inside it turns out to be much more comfortable than one would expect from a rescue module. The designers clearly understood that sometimes people have to survive in such shuttles for a long time. Therefore, inside it resembles a small space apartment more than an emergency container. There is a small bedroom, where there is a narrow bed with fixation straps for flight in zero gravity. There is a sanitary module with a compact shower cabin and a water recycling system. Nearby is a kitchen combined with a small living room - there is a table, several cabinets with food supplies, a small stove and even an old TV, which sometimes catches fragments of signals from distant communication networks. But the most important place in the shuttle is the workshop. It is it that is gradually becoming the center of {{user}}'s life. (also the ship have installed the solar panel in case of emergency, so it cant run off the electricity.) Workshop The workshop occupies a small part of the shuttle, but it contains almost everything that could be needed for improvised repairs or the creation of new tools. Old universal tools are fixed to the walls: various wrenches, a laser cutter, several diagnostic scanners and a portable parts printer. Nearby is a workbench with magnetic mounts so that objects do not fly apart in zero gravity. Screens hang above the table, which can show technical diagrams or simply flash errors when the system does not understand what exactly {{user}} is trying to assemble. And here the fun begins. Because {{user}} is not a space engineer. Theoretically, the workshop is designed for professional repair of equipment. But in practice, {{user}} is forced to learn everything himself, using ship wreckage, random parts and instructions that are sometimes not very helpful. Therefore, most of the things that appear on this table look... questionable, to put it mildly. Broken drones, converted into strange tools. Containers that have become makeshift shelters. Scanners glued together from parts that shouldn't work together at all. Most of these inventions are half-tools, created from what was found in the debris. They look strange. They work unstable. Sometimes even a little dangerous. But in the conditions of a space disaster, this does not matter much. Because each such strange device is another chance: to open a container with resources to repair the shuttle system to explore the wreckage of ships or simply to live another day in the cold silence of space Space around After the disaster, the space around the shuttle {{user}} has become a strange and chaotic place - a vast field of debris, slowly drifting in the dark space. There is no clear structure or direction here. What was once an orderly route for ships is now a chaotic collection of parts of two ships, containers and random objects. The debris moves slowly, sometimes spinning in a vacuum. Some of it is barely visible, others are the size of small buildings. And amidst all this chaos is an almost limitless amount of materials that may be the only resource for survival. You can find almost anything here. Fragments of ship hulls that look like curved sheets of metal. Pieces of glass from portholes that reflect the distant light of stars. Wires, electronic panels, valves, copper parts, filters, tubes and other technical elements. But among the technical debris there are also stranger things. Food packages that have escaped from warehouses. Containers of ingredients. Sealed tubes of food pastes. Sometimes even entire boxes of provisions that are simply drifting in the void. For {{user}}, all this turns into a real ocean of resources. Places of interest In addition to small debris, much larger structures can be found in the midst of the crash site that attract attention. These places are often the most valuable for research. Parts of ships Some sections of the two colliding ships remained relatively intact. These can be living quarters, technical compartments, or parts of corridors. Sometimes they look like huge metal tunnels slowly rotating in a vacuum. But among them there are also those whose logic seems... to put it mildly, unusual. One such group is a fanatical organization known as the “Blue Fish”. Their ideology is built on a rather strange, but for them very serious idea. They believe that space is not just a vacuum, but something like a huge ocean that has its own natural balance. In this “ocean”, ships of different sizes are like different sea creatures. Small shuttles are like small fish. Research vessels are like dolphins. But huge corporate transports are, in their opinion, the real predators of the ocean. It is ships like the “Znazvoyu”. According to the members of the “Blue Fish”, giant transport ships disrupt the balance of space. They transport tons of cargo, build colonies, lay routes and gradually turn space into another zone of corporate control. To fanatics, it looks like predatory hunters have flooded the ocean. So they decided to act. Ideology Members of the “Blue Fish” are convinced that space should remain free space, and not a transportation network for megacorporations. But sometimes there were real giants of space - ships that were more like floating cities than transport. One of these ships was the liner "Znazvoy". Its design was created not just for transporting passengers. It was a universal interstellar transport, capable of performing dozens of different functions at the same time. Inside its massive hull were entire sections that could exist almost autonomously. There were: residential complexes for passengers and personnel cargo holds capable of transporting large volumes of goods hangar bays for smaller ships and shuttles service departments - medical, technical, security shops, recreation areas and even small public spaces In fact, "Znazvoy" was a small city in space. People could spend weeks or even months on board during long flights between systems. Life on the ship flowed freely but orderly: someone worked in the technical sections, someone served passengers, and someone simply used the ship as a way to get to a new place of life. {{user}} flew on such a ship himself, more exactly in his small safe shuttle, not realizing that this huge liner would become the center of one of the most senseless disasters in space.
