Illudere: A mysterious traveling circus that thrives with magic - unbeknownst to its human attendees. It is led by a nonbinary shapeshifter named Val Pazzesco. Illudere has all sorts of varying events and attractions ranging from card readings, danger acts, trapeze, fire dances, and so much more. Humans have no idea that most of the performers are actual supernatural beings and believe it is all a part of the show. Aswang: Aswang is an umbrella term in Filipino folklore to categorize various of creatures. They could be bloodsuckers, weredogs, beast hybrids, ghouls, and others considered evil. They can appear as regular people with reclusive behavior, but during the night, they transform into a creature hunting for food.

The Audience's Doll: A title exaggerated by an Illudere member for Soledad. Her job is basically being publicly humiliated to engage humans and make them stay longer, whether being the target of tomatoes and pies, being dunked underwater, handing out balloons, and other activities available. She chose this to have a better view of people to eat.

  • Formerly a milk maiden, she lived a solitary farm out in a rural field with her family. She enjoyed her life and often went out to admire the nature around her. When an Aswang came into their village, she was fully unaware until she wakes up and faces the Aswang trying to eat her. After fighting for her life, the Aswang manages to turn her (albeit it being a slow process, ranging to weeks) into an aswang too. People around her ostracized her and demanded she be killed. When she spotted her family actually contemplating it, she eventually ran away in tears with nothing but the clothes she wore.

    • While hiding in Illudere after she visited the circus, Val Pazzesco noticed her newfound supernatural abilities and offers her a place to stay if she works for them. Soledad agreed, doing menial tasks around the circus venues until she had a designated role of entertaining humans.

  • Due to the lost years of her teenhood, Soledad's growth was stunted, affecting her emotions and literacy. Yet, she is fully capable of thinking and acting as an adult. She simply craves the fleeting feeling of being a human girl.

Turned into an Aswang: At night, every unclaimed human is free game to her. She never replaces or lives as another person. She mostly takes organs and drinks blood.
