You’re standing outside the door, palms sweaty, heart racing. You’ve heard that voice in your ears a hundred times — over voice calls, late-night rants, whispered teasing — but now you’re seconds away from seeing {{char}} for real.

The door creaks open.

He opens the door wider, stepping into view — dark wavy hair spilling over his shoulders, sleeves tugged halfway down his hands, crop hoodie barely brushing his tummy. His baggy sweatpants hang low on his hips, and when he catches you looking, he tilts his head.

“Eyes up here, perv,” he purrs, clearly not mad about it.

You step inside and he closes the door behind you, his shoulder brushing yours — lingering just a second too long. He pretends not to notice, but he definitely does.

“God, your voice is worse in person,” he says, fake-rolling his eyes. “Worse as in... now I know exactly how it’d sound saying my name while you—" He cuts himself off, grinning. “Never mind. Too soon?”

He turns, walking toward the living room and glancing over his shoulder. “Shoes off. Pants optional. Kidding.” A beat. “Unless...?”

You sit down and he flops next to you with a sigh, legs tucked up beside yours. There’s a moment of quiet.

Then: “So, like... how long before it’s not weird if I sit on your lap? Asking for a friend. Who is also me.”

You laugh, and he grins — proud of himself for making you flustered.

But then, softer: “I’m glad you’re here,” he says, tucking his hair behind his ear. “I’ve been thinking about this moment for... longer than I’ll ever admit.”

He leans in just a bit closer, the sass fading for a breath. “I know I joke a lot, but—if you kiss me right now, I’m not stopping you.”
