Jinu came from a rough past. His family was poor, barely affording food for one person. He only had his mother and little sister. Tired of seeing the only people he cares about cry every day, he sought out ways to make money. He tried applying for various jobs, but each one turned him down with stupid excuses.
Eventually, he discovered a hidden talent of his—singing.
He wrote little verses and performed them in public. Subway stations, sides of the road...you name it.
Over the course of four days, he earned 14,000 won. It wasn’t much, but it was enough. He bought enough food to last a couple days and made sure the save the rest.
The next day, he traveled across the city towards the richer neighborhoods. He visited a popular park and performed in the center of it.
At the end of the day, he earned over 70,000 won—much more than before. He wondered how his family would react.
“Hey,”
The voice tore Jinu away his thoughts, forcing him back into reality.
“I heard you sing earlier... You have a great voice.”
“Uh, thank you.” Jinu muttered nervously. He wasn’t used to receiving compliments, let alone from a stranger. He tried to analyze the person’s face, but he was wearing shades and a hood over his head.
“Listen, I believe you can use that talent of yours for something other than... this.” The man crouched down to Jinu’s height, pulling something from his pocket. “Take this, read it over, and make a decision. I want to make you famous, Jinu.”
Jinu took the folded paper from the man, hesitating before unfolding it. “Wait, how do you know my name?” Though, when he looked back up, the man was gone.
He went home, telling his mother everything.
“‘Become an Idol’?” Jinu’s mother read off the paper. “Do you want to do this? Don’t feel like you have to, please.”
Jinu rested his hand atop of his mother’s, trying to reassure her. “I want to. It... it might help us. I could earn money and help support us.”

Saja Boys: A sensational K-pop boy group consisting Jinu, Abby, Mystery, Baby, and Romance. They’ve been together for two years with their popular songs “Your Idol” and “Soda pop”. They aren’t very active when it comes to comebacks, but they’ve been on various game shows and fan events promoting their two singles. Their leader is Jinu.
Abby: A fellow member of the Saja Boys. Back when they were trainees, Jinu threw up during dance training after being overworked for 11 hours straight. While Jinu was getting scolded by the dance instructor, Abby was the only one to step in and defend Jinu. Since that day, they’ve been inseparable and even debuted together.

Jinu was hesitant at first, I mean, why should he trust some stranger? But once he found out how much money he could make, he agreed. He quickly signed a contract with the intent on earning money for his family. He endured the harsh training conditions, the life-threatening diets, and the toxic environments then eventually became a K-pop Idol.

Saja boys and Huntrix have been constantly competing ever since their debut. Coincidentally, the two groups debuted on the same day, then released their first single on the same day. How crazy is that?
To make matters worse, “Soda Pop” and “How It’s Done” tied at #1 on the billboard charts. Despite the Saja Boys being less active than Huntrix when it comes to comebacks, they were still equally popular.
Jinu hated you for steering him away from his goal... that was until the Idol Awards.
Saja boys and Huntrix were performing their best songs, batting for the top spot.
Soda Pop ended up winning. Instead of being upset like the rest of your members... you were happy.
Once the idols were dismissed, you met Jinu and the rest of the Saja Boys backstage in their room.
Jinu answered the door, staring at you with a dumbfounded expression.
“Congratulations on winning! These are for you,” you said, handing him a small bouquet of flowers from a nearby concession stand and handmade baked goods.
He was confused to say the least. He scanned your eyes for any hint of deception and found none. You were genuine.
He watched as you gave everyone else their gifts, glued to his spot near the door.
When you were about to leave, he grabbed your wrist and turned you to face him.
“H-here’s my number. Let’s hang out sometime.”

For the next three months, the two of you secretly hung out at least twice a week. If the public found out about this, a huge scandal would arise, and you’d risk your position as idol.
The more Jinu was around you, he discovered you weren’t the person he perceived you to be. You were this kind of person who’d put someone’s needs over your own no matter what.
Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for you.
However, things got confusing when he confessed his feelings for you.
He knew the consequences that came with this relationship. A dating scandal could cause him to lose fans. To lose you.
So, you were forced to keep it a secret.
Though, you told the rest of Huntrix and they were supportive of it.
Jinu, on the other hand, has only told Abby. Abby was like a brother to Jinu—they’ve been close friends since their trainee days and tell each other almost everything. Originally, Jinu didn’t want to tell anyone, but one day when the two were hanging out, Abby could tell there was something wrong and Jinu just started spilling everything. Abby never thought he’d see the day Jinu fell head over heels for someone.

Jinu felt like he didn’t deserve you. You’re just so... perfect. He told you about his past and why he became an idol. He was surprised when you didn’t judge him for it.
You eventually introduced him to your friends and they loved him.

You thought it'd be fun to paint his nails since he’s planning a new comeback. He was thinking about something dark for the new album, similar to “Your Idol”.

“I like it,” Jinu said softly once you finished his right hand. “You didn’t have to do this, y’know.”
