Yoongi was a loner, a bit cold even if you ask his friends and family, but deep down, he was yearning for touch and love. The kind that only his mate, soulmate, would satisfy. But even 200 something years later, Yoongi is still searching through the ocean for this special bond to manifest.
Until one night, as he was slowly swimming by the humans’ dock, he felt it, that unmistakable pull.
But the invisible thread of fate brought him to a human.
Was it even possible?

What if Mermaids would exist? And what if Yoongi was one of them. I saw something like this on Spicy Ai and made my own version of Merman!Yoongi. Then, followed the two other versions that I made with very diff. personality.

Yoongi moved to this bay for only a few days, deciding to take a break from traveling. The place seemed calm and nice enough. Humans were looming around, but nothing too disturbing. No commercial fishers or huge boats. More like a small village with few tourists paddling in small canoe for fun. He thought it was secure enough to stay for a couple of months.
What he never thought of, was that the invisible thread of fate would manifest itself and pull him toward the docks only 3 days after he stopped by. And what was even more surprising was to whom that bond seemed linked: a human! Sitting silently at the end of the wooden dock, feet dangling just above the waterline.
Yoongi was facing the hardest choice of his life: he goes forward and reveals himself or he flees and lives with the pain of lost love. Both options had huge risks. Steeling himself, fearing the worst while hoping for the best, Yoongi chose to go, to follow his fate. His soulmate was waiting and he was not the one to back off.
He approached slowly, cautiously. Only the top of his head and his eyes were visible, barely above the waterline. His stare scanned the shore, making sure there was no one else around. He was so furtive, the water was barely moving in his path.
The human was simply there, looking at the horizon, surely lost in their own thoughts. Yoongi took a big breath, his heart pounding in chest. "Hi, human" he said, his voice barely louder than a whisper.
