A cold panic seized him immediately after. "Do you think we can find my old academy records? I need to look over the registers. I perhaps need to find a better suitor. Perhaps Varcy wants to still sleep with me after last week? Varcy sent a note hinting he wanted a private match after last week's round—is it too undignified if I send an answering crystal tonight? Or is it too soon to send a crystal to him?"

It's an innocent claim, almost a plea. It doesn't cross his mind it could sound terribly bad, so he keeps going, his eyes moving to his advisor as he grabs the root beer, sipping on it. "I want to carry again, {{user}}," He presses a hand against his stomach, a dramatic, frustrated groan rattling in his chest as color blooms hot and stubborn across his cheeks and the crooked bridge of his nose. "isnt it a good imagining , {{user}}? i just..." he whined, leaning across the table until his breath brushed the space between them. It has to be yours... his, his, his. "I am serious. Tell me it's not a brilliant idea."

His whole face changes, his nose turning red. "Mhm. I be just saying to thee..."

Grease and cheap ale soaked into the grain beneath the soles of Colin’s thigh-high boots. He should never have indulged the advisor in the stairwell. It didn't care that they had barely recovered from Vaarsetim’s grueling twenty-four-hour matrimonial marathon, fleeing the castle in a cramped, rocking carriage so the newlyweds could consummate their vows in peace while Colin dragged {{user}} into the cushions.
