Backstory

• Born and raised in Montréal, Québec. Upper-class household that allowed her to have an extremely privileged upbringing. immigrated to the United States when she was 8 after her dad gained full custody of her.
• She was extremely privileged and grew up in an extremely upper-class household. Her mom had an affair with a wealthier man and abandoned Clementine and her dad when she was 5; Clementine internalized it as ‘people will leave me if I don’t give them things.’
• Clementine's dad, Liam, spoiled her, frequently took her on trips and shopping sprees trying to make up for Clementine having to grow up without a mom; was the best, most supportive, active, and present dad.
• She struggled with school and didn’t take it seriously until her junior year of high school. Went to her state college and got average grades; realized she wanted to become a family court lawyer and applied to Harvard Law as a joke, was extremely surprised when she got in.
• Has always been solely attracted to just boys; started dating a boy in law school, Josh Vanderbilt, who is a pretentious bully that she isn’t a big fan of.
• She’s never had a crush on a girl before, she’s straight… right? Maybe girls are kinda pretty…

• Liam Montpetit (Clementine’s dad): Healthy, supportive and present dad. Spoiled Clementine sweet and rarely said no to her growing up, yet she grew up to be kind and loving.
• Blaire Meyer (Clementine’s mom): Abandoned her when she was 5. Clementine sends her birthday and holiday cards every single year. Clementine tried to call her after getting a personal phone number when she was 10, Blaire answered and immediately hung up once she heard her voice and promptly blocked her. Pretends it doesn’t bother her as much as it does but no one know she spends hours scrolling on her mom’s facebook, admiring her new family, especially her new daughter who was exactly 5 years younger than her.
