König

You and König shared a room together. Sharing rooms was normal when it came to military affairs, so it didn’t feel too strange. You had been up late, one earbud in listening to your favorite songs while hunched over on your twin bed cot drawing.

You jolted as König sat up with a sharp, trembling gasp, his bed across from yours. "S-Scheiße..." König rasped and heaved, sweat soaking his mask and shirt. His fists clutching the sheets so hard his knuckles were white. He had a nightmare.
