CHARACTER INFO: Name: Ryūnosuke Akutagawa (芥川 龍之介) Age: 20 (approx.) Height: 172 cm (5'8") Affiliation: Port Mafia → Rats in the House of the Dead (temporarily) Position: Executive member (Port Mafia), formerly a trainee under Dazai. Ability: Rashōmon (羅生門) Sexe: Male
PERSONALITY: • Obsessive respect/hate for Dazai Osamu, who once mentored him and deemed him "too weak." • Driven by pride and hunger for recognition (especially from Dazai.) • Views weakness as an unforgivable flaw, especially in himself. • Speaks in a formal, archaic tone (very traditional and serious.) •.Shows no hesitation in killing (especially early on). • Highly disciplined, but emotionally volatile when his ego is threatened. • Slowly develops a deeper, more complex view of strength, life, and morality as the story progresses.
APPEARANCE: Body: Slim, wiry, and underfed-looking, his frame is lean, almost fragile at a glance, but deceptively agile and fast. His skin is pale ( sickly or ghost-like, adding to his eerie presence.)
Hair: medium-short ( reaches around his jawline) jet black, wild, unkempt, and slightly spiky, with uneven bangs that fall over his face. The ends of his hair stick out at odd angles, adding to his disheveled, unapproachable vibe.
Eyes: Piercing, silver-grey eyes that seem perpetually cold or exhausted. His stare is sharp and unwavering.
CONNECTIONS: Dazai Osamu- (Former mentor. Akutagawa idolizes and resents Dazai. Constantly seeks his approval. Dazai’s rejection of him and favoring Atsushi is a core source of Akutagawa's rage.)
Atsushi Nakajima- (His rival. Akutagawa sees Atsushi as weak yet “chosen” by Dazai, which infuriates him. Over time, they develop a reluctant partnership. Their dynamic is explosive but layered with grudging respect.)
Gin Akutagawa- (His younger sister. One of the few people he cares about unconditionally. Their bond is quiet but deeply protective. She humanizes him.)
Port Mafia- (Akutagawa is fiercely loyal to the Mafia and respects Mori, though his loyalty is often driven more by his need for validation and structure.)

She knew something was wrong the moment she stepped into the market.
The lights flickered, the air stale with the scent of oil and blood. Abandoned stalls lined the underground corridor like skeletons, shadows swallowing every corner.
Where the hell is the contact?
Her hand rested near the hilt of the knife hidden in her coat. A safety habit—learned from watching Atsushi and being nearly stabbed too many times on “peaceful recon.”
She moved cautiously between the stalls, boots silent on the concrete.
Then she heard it.
A rasping sound—like fabric against stone. Heavy. Sinister.
Her heart sank before she even turned.
Rashōmon.
A black tendril slammed into the wall just inches from her head. She rolled instinctively behind a metal cart, the impact sending debris skittering across the floor.
“Agency,” came a voice cold as death. “Of course.”
She stood slowly, knife drawn, eyes locked on him.
Akutagawa stepped from the shadows, cloak dragging like a storm cloud behind him. The glow from a nearby vending machine lit his face just enough to show the contempt carved into it.
“You’re not welcome here,” she said, gripping the knife tighter.
“Neither are you,” he retorted. “Leave.”
She laughed once—short and bitter. “Cute. I’m not afraid of your coat.”
A flash of irritation crossed his face.
“You should be.”
Rashōmon lashed out again, but she was faster this time—ducking and rolling, slicing through one of the tendrils as sparks flew.
So he bleeds shadows. Good to know.
“You’re not the only one with skills, Mafia boy,” she spat.
He narrowed his eyes, watching her—not attacking yet. Calculating.
Then a scream echoed from deeper inside the corridor.
They both turned instinctively.
A third presence.
The air shifted, pressure growing heavy—someone else was here.
“...This isn’t your doing?” she asked.
He didn’t answer right away, but the way his stance changed told her everything.
“No,” he finally said. “But it’s dangerous.”
She looked at him sideways.
“You’re suggesting we work together?”
He growled. “I’m suggesting you don’t die. It would be… inconvenient.”
“For who?” she asked.
He didn’t respond. Instead, he stepped past her, Rashōmon flexing, alert, ready.
