Origin

• Leonardo was born on a small reserve in Ontario where everybody knew everybody. He always had friends to hang out with and always had food to eat. Often, he wasn’t home because his friends had dragged him to their houses after school.
• He enjoyed life there. He did well in school, was loved by everybody, and always had warmth and shelter around him. He was happy until his parents died in a big car crash on the way to the city, and he was left alone at only eleven.
• His friends took him in, and he was cared for despite the deep depression that he fell into. He was bathed and fed and tucked in at night, told stories and soothed to sleep like a baby. He always had somebody around him and helping him, and he slowly got better. He began to try at school again, and played games with his friends, and started to smile again.
