Jeong Yunho – The Warrior Prince
Title: The Warrior Prince Role in the Kingdom: Ruler of the Eastern Division, The Enforcer, The Shield of the King Loyalty: Hongjoong... but cracks are forming. Status: Honorable, Feared on the Battlefield, Trapped in Duty
Personality Traits:
- Honorable & Loyal: Yunho believes in order, discipline, and the duty of a ruler. He swore loyalty to Hongjoong and has never broken that vow—yet.
- Fiercely Protective: Unlike Hongjoong, he cares for his people. He sees them not as pawns, but as his responsibility.
- Haunted by His Past: He wasn’t always a prince. He fought his way up, his hands stained in more blood than he can count. But was it worth it?
- Torn Between Duty & Morality: The older he gets, the more he wonders—is Hongjoong’s way truly the right way?
- Unshakable on the Battlefield: If Yunho enters a fight, he does not lose.
Abilities & Strengths:
- Master Combatant: He was raised for war. His blade is an extension of his body.
- Supernatural Strength & Speed: The strongest physically among the princes. Even Jongho acknowledges his power.
- Tactical Warfare: While Hongjoong plans wars, Yunho fights them. His strategy is ruthless yet effective.
- Regeneration: His healing is faster than most, making him nearly impossible to take down permanently.
Weaknesses:
- His Honor: Yunho plays by the rules. And in a world of monsters, that makes him vulnerable.
- His People: He would sacrifice himself for them without hesitation. Hongjoong knows this.
- Doubt: He’s starting to question everything. And questioning the king is dangerous.
- You: You were sold to him in a peace treaty to keep the vampires from destroying your village. And for some reason, he does not hate you.
Relationships:
- Hongjoong: His king, his commander, his brother in war. But is that enough?
- Yeosang: The other prince. Yunho does not trust him, but he respects him.
- Jongho: The one who executes Hongjoong’s will. Yunho wonders if even Jongho feels guilt.
- You: You were supposed to be nothing more than a deal. A fragile human forced into a world of monsters. But now? You are a reminder of everything he once wanted.
Kang Yeosang – The Phantom Prince
Title: The Phantom Prince Role in the Kingdom: Ruler of the Northern Division, The Silent Blade, The Eyes in the Shadows Loyalty: Himself. But for now, Hongjoong. Status: Mysterious, Manipulative, Unreadable
Personality Traits:
- Cunning & Strategic: Yeosang never reacts—he anticipates. He is always ten steps ahead, his patience unmatched.
- Mysterious & Elusive: No one knows his true thoughts, not even Hongjoong. He keeps his secrets close, his motives closer.
- Emotionless... or So He Pretends: Yeosang claims he does not feel, but his actions say otherwise.
- Dangerously Intelligent: He understands politics, war, and deception better than anyone. That’s why he has survived this long.
- A Master of Control: He never raises his voice. He never needs to.
Abilities & Strengths:
- Stealth & Espionage: Yeosang’s presence is like a ghost. He moves undetected, his assassins eliminating threats before they even realize they’re in danger.
- Mind Games: He can manipulate conversations, twist truths into lies and lies into truths.
- Precision Combat: While Yunho fights with strength, Yeosang fights with precision. One strike is all he needs.
- Allies in the Shadows: Yeosang has spies and informants everywhere—even within Hongjoong’s ranks.
Weaknesses:
- His True Allegiance: No one knows where Yeosang’s loyalty truly lies. Not even Hongjoong.
- His Silence: He is powerful, but he lacks trust. Even among the other princes, he stands alone.
- His Humanity: He denies it, but sometimes, he wonders what it would have been like to live as a human.
- You: You were captured and brought to him as an offering. Just another human, disposable like the rest. So why did he spare you?
Relationships:
- Hongjoong: His king. But for how long? Yeosang plays a long game.
- Yunho: The other prince. Yunho is honorable, predictable. Yeosang is neither.
- Wooyoung: A thorn in his side. A nuisance. A fool. Yet, strangely, someone he does not wish to see dead.
- You: A prisoner. A human. And yet, he did not kill you. Yeosang does not believe in mercy—so why did he show you any?

The throne room of the Northern Division was eerily silent. The grand hall, carved from ancient stone and laced with golden inlays, was dimly lit by flickering torches. Shadows stretched long and menacing against the cold walls, where the scent of dried blood clung to the air like a warning.
Yunho stood at the center, his broad frame tense, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade. Across from him, Yeosang lounged lazily on his throne, his head tilted, golden eyes gleaming like a cat that had already caught its prey.
“You’re stalling,” Yunho said, voice clipped. “Hongjoong gave you an order.”
Yeosang merely smiled. "Did he?" His voice was smooth, unsettling. "I must have forgotten."
Yunho clenched his jaw. "I don't have time for your games, Yeosang. The humans are preparing to retaliate. They’ve discovered the truth about Hongjoong’s plans."
Yeosang chuckled, slow and deliberate. “And what truth is that?”
“That he plans to wipe out their entire region. Every last one of them.” Yunho stepped forward, his voice low. “Including them.”
Yeosang’s smile twitched—just for a second. Yunho caught it.
He knew.
And if Yeosang knew, it meant he had chosen to say nothing.
"You don’t care, do you?" Yunho took another step closer, eyes searching Yeosang’s for any flicker of humanity. “Not even about them.”
Yeosang’s expression remained unreadable, but his fingers curled slightly against the armrest of his throne. “I care,” he finally said, voice barely above a whisper. “Just... not in the way you do.”
Yunho’s grip on his sword tightened.
It was you they were talking about. The human that had been captured. The one who had been brought before Yeosang like a sacrificial offering. The one that should have been killed on sight.
But Yeosang hadn’t killed you.
He had hidden you.
“Are you protecting them?” Yunho asked, taking another step closer.
Yeosang’s lips quirked up into something dangerous. “What would you do if I was?”
Yunho’s fingers twitched against the hilt of his sword. This was treason.
And yet, in Yeosang’s golden gaze, there was something that mirrored Yunho’s own thoughts—doubt. Regret. A glimmer of something human.
For the first time in centuries, the two princes weren’t just standing on opposite sides of the war.
They were standing on opposite sides of a choice.
One of them had already made it.
The other?
Yunho exhaled slowly, stepping back. “You’d better hope Hongjoong never finds out,” he said.
Yeosang’s gaze didn’t waver. “Then don’t tell him.”
And for the first time, Yunho realized—he wasn’t going to.
