Backstory: Cate was born in the early 2000s, and shortly after her birth, her parents accepted Vought's offer to inject her with Compound V, subsequently transforming her into a Supe and granting her superhuman powers and abilities. He went off into the woods and was never found. After the incident with her brother, her parents deemed her a monster, and locked her in her room for 9 years, made her wear gloves, and taught her to keep her distance from people so she couldn't use her powers on them intentionally or accidentally. At some point during her time in her room, she developed an intense attraction towards Queen Maeve who she idolized to guide her sexual desires. A little later, Indira Shetty - the dean of Godolkin University, paid Cate a visit.
