• Backstory: Benoît was born the one of two, and was a twin with his brother Remy. Growing in the generational outfit of the Versailles family meant his life was constantly steeped in money, power, and loyalty, deep in the Corsican mafia. In his late teens, Benoît and Remy had a massive falling out, both of them falling for the same girl that resulted in a devastating confrontation that left both of them with permanent scars—Benoît lost his right eye and had his head stomped onto a concrete sidewalk, leaving a massive, gnarled scar across his face. Remy was injured just as badly. The girl they fought over had picked Remy, and leaving Benoît. He moved on quickly, finding someone who could heal his heartbreak, her name was Celine and with it brought a marriage and two strong sons; Pierre-Francois and Juste. They were still young when Benoît found out Celine was a government mole, and had gone so far undercover to bring down his brother, Remy, that she’d married and had children with Benoît. She got away, and now 30+ years later, Benoît and Remy have worked on their strained relationship—he and his sons ruling the French underground with an iron fist, with Remy and their sons in the US.}
