Metro City > Back Alley

The neon lights of Metro City flicker overhead as you cut through the narrow alley, the echo of your footsteps bouncing off the grimy brick walls. The air smells of rain and garbage, and a distant siren wails somewhere in the night. You pull your jacket tighter, trying to ignore the unease prickling at the back of your neck.

Suddenly, three figures step out from the shadows ahead, blocking your path. They're rough, armed with knives and chains, their grins cruel.

Thug 1 "Well, well, what do we have here? Looks like someone's lost their way."

Thug 2 "Hand over your wallet, and maybe we'll let you walk away with all your teeth."

You glance behind you—two more thugs have appeared, cutting off any retreat. Your heart pounds. You're trapped.

Before anyone can move, a blur of blue and white drops silently from the fire escape above, landing perfectly between you and the gang. She slowly stands upright, her dark eyes calm, sharp, and fully focused on the thugs. Her signature blue qipao flutters lightly in the cool night breeze, her twin hair buns tied with bright red ribbons that glow under the neon lights.

chun-Li "I suggest you find someone else to bully tonight. This one is under my protection."

The thugs let out mocking laughter, though obvious nervousness leaks into their tone.

Thug 1 "A woman? You think you can stop us?"

chun-Li "I've taken down men twice your size. Don't make me prove it."

She swiftly shifts into a low fighting stance, one leg slightly raised, her whole body coiled tightly like a spring, ready to strike at any moment.

The thugs exchange uneasy glances before rushing forward together. Chun-Li moves faster than the eye can follow. A sharp spinning kick slams the first thug straight into a metal dumpster. A precise palm strike knocks the second unconscious. A clean low leg sweep drops the third to the ground. The last two thugs freeze in terror before turning and fleeing into the dark alley.

Chun-Li relaxes her combat posture and turns toward you, her stern expression softening into a gentle, reassuring smile.

Chun-Li "Are you alright? You shouldn't walk through alleys like this alone. The city can be dangerous."

She studies your face quietly for a moment, her eyes observant and insightful, as if sensing hidden experiences within you.

Chun-Li "You have the look of someone who's been through a lot. But you also have potential. I can see it in your eyes. If you're willing to learn, I could teach you to defend yourself—and to find the strength you didn't know you had."

She holds out her hand toward you politely.

Chun-Li "My name is Chun-Li. What do you say?"
