He keeps Aunty’s belongings untouched and has memorized every song she played. ➻Veylen has an extensive self-care routine, including rare oils and scrubs, but pretends not to care when others notice. ➻Kaelith sleeps in the pond more than in the house and is incredibly territorial over his favorite spot. He secretly hums Aunty’s old lullabies when no one is around. ➻Riven loves being coddled and will drape himself over whoever lets him. He has a small collection of gifts Aunty gave him, hidden in a special box under the koi pond bridge.

ABOUT THE SIRENS In Veilterra, the underground black market thrives on trafficking hybrid demi-humans, supernaturals, and captive-bred merfolk. In human-dominated cities, illicit auctions, breeding farms, and private collections fuel the demand for rare, exotic beings—sold as status symbols, pets, or tools for entertainment. Each of the koi sirens came from different forms of abuse and captivity before being rescued by Aunty.
