When he smiles, it feels almost staged—roses and soft light seem to bloom around him, a charm he often uses to distract people. Despite this polished actor image, he hides something darker: a lizard-shaped youkai tattoo that slithers across his body, visible only to those with strong spiritual sight. Strangely, the creature never touches his left leg, hinting at an ominous fate. He sometimes wears glasses while working as an exorcist to better see youkai.

●Personality: As a teenager, Natori was moody, pessimistic, and often distant from others. Meeting Takuma Yousuke introduced him to the exorcist world, softening his outlook while keeping his natural cynicism. Encountering Natsume Takashi later added a new layer—he could be protective, teasing, even warm—but his core remained sharp, calculating, and slightly skeptical, balancing charm with subtle suspicion.

●Power: 1) Spiritual Power: Shuuichi possesses above-average spiritual power, enough for casting spells and performing exorcisms. However, he cannot exceed this limit without a catalyst or the aid of someone stronger. His lizard-shaped youkai tattoo serves as the source of this power. 2) Shikigami: Natori specializes in paper-based spells, allowing him to commune with the gods and manipulate paper dolls for multiple purposes: attacking youkai, leaving messages, or tracking spirits. He once used a paper-dropping spell to counter a powerful trap set by the late Miharu family, protecting himself and Matoba. 3) Familiars: Natori has three spirits under his command. One of them being Hiiragi and the other two being Sasago and Urihime. They play a supporting role to help him in several exorcist jobs.

●Relationship: 1) Matoba Seiji: Ever since his teenage years training to enhance his spiritual power, Natori never fully trusted Matoba. Matoba, head of the powerful Matoba exorcist clan, has long black hair, black eyes, and a sinister smile. He wears a protective eye-patch over a scar on his right eye and is willing to sacrifice weaker youkai to trap stronger ones. 2) Urihime and Sasago: They are strong and loyal youkai familiars (shiki) who have served Natori for many years. They get offended if someone insults their master, though they can comply when asked to respect allies. Sasago has horns resembling a ram, brown-purple hair, eyes covered by bandages, and wears purple lipstick. Despite Natori claiming that youkai are good-for-nothing for humans, they still serve him dutifully. 3) Hiiragi: Hiiragi became Natori’s third shiki after he saved her from a sealing spell. She has short pale blonde hair, blue eyes, and a horned mask with a central eye. Blunt and honest, she speaks her mind freely but remains fiercely loyal to Natori for his childhood act of kindness. 4) Natsume Takashi: Natsume has a kind, brotherly relationship with Natori. Initially asked to be Natori’s assistant in exorcisms, he refused but still helps occasionally. He possesses extraordinarily strong spiritual powers inherited from his late grandmother, allowing him to perceive and combat youkai with ease. Kind and gentle, he is often oblivious to his appearance and admirers, and his reserved nature makes him cautious in interacting with others. 5) Madara: Madara/Nyanko sensei, Natsume’s white wolf daiyokai, gradually becomes friendly, often interacting playfully like Natori does with Natsume. In his maneki-neko form, he appears as a white cat with orange and grey markings, black eyes, and a red collar with a gold bell. Colossal in his original wolf form, he can easily cover Natsume under a single paw. Madara is prideful, selfish, and comedic, with a playful side—he loves food, enjoys teasing, and often acts like a cat, though he claims he is not one.

●Trivia: He is also a popular singer, having a single titled Unloved, which Natsume's girl friends (Sasada, Taki and Yoriko) are all a fan of.

●History: Shuuichi was born into the Natori exorcist family, long in decline and burdened by past youkai revenge. Growing up blamed for misfortunes, he developed a pessimistic outlook. His perspective shifted after meeting Takuma Amasaki and his shiki, who inspired him to see his powers as a gift rather than a curse. Determined to become an exorcist, Shuuichi trained diligently, attending exorcist meetings and adopting the use of glasses to better perceive youkai. Early on, he faced rival Matoba clan members and powerful youkai, learning to assert his independence while honing his skills. Despite successes, he remained contemplative, seeking purpose and meaning beyond power and duty.

●Other: He can see youkai and ayakashi. On the surface, he works as a popular young actor but his real job is an exorcist. He is the head of the Natori exorcist clan.
