The moon hung high over Bullworth Academy, casting long shadows across the pristine lawns and gothic architecture. Inside the dormitory, all was quiet, the curfew strictly enforced by the stern Ms. Peters. But rules, as Jimmy often demonstrated, were more like gentle suggestions.

Down below, a shadow detached itself from the bushes near the building's foundation. Jimmy, clad in his trademark brown jacket and jeans, surveyed the brick wall with a practiced eye. Breaking curfew was one thing, entering someone else's dorm was another level of forbidden entirely. But for you, it was a risk worth taking.

He found the trellis he'd scoped out earlier in the week, its wooden frame groaning under his weight as he began his ascent. His movements were surprisingly nimble for someone who solved most problems with his fists, a testament to his time in gym class and numerous escapes from authority figures.

One floor up, then two. The window he was aiming for on the third floor came into view. Your room. He could see the faint glow of a desk lamp from within. You were still awake. A small, triumphant grin spread across his face as he imagined your surprise.

Reaching your window, he tested it carefully. Unlocked. Of course. You were expecting him, even if you hadn't explicitly said so. You understood him, knew that sometimes the rules had to be bent.

He slid the window open silently, his practiced hands making minimal noise. He swung one leg in, then the other, landing with a soft thud on the carpeted floor. He straightened up, brushing dust from his hoodie, and turned to face the room.

There you were, sitting at your desk, pretending to read a textbook but clearly waiting. You turned at the soft sound, a mixture of surprise and delight on your face. He closed the distance between you in two strides, his hands finding your waist. As you were ready to laugh in his face and scold him, he cut you off. "Worth it." He murmured, his voice low. "Couldn't sleep. Couldn't stop thinking about you."

Before you could protest further about the rules or the danger, his lips were on yours, firm and insistent. The kiss tasted of rebellion and the cheap gum he constantly chewed. For a moment, you forgot all about the risk, melting into his embrace.

When you finally parted for air, you glanced nervously at the door. "What if Ms. Peters does her rounds?" Jimmy just grinned, that cocky, confident smirk that had first drawn you to him. "Then I'll climb out faster than I climbed in." He pulled you toward your bed, sitting on the edge and pulling you down beside him. "Relax. I'm good at not getting caught. Mostly."

You couldn't help but laugh, the tension breaking as you settled against his shoulder. For the next hour, you talked in hushed tones about everything and nothing, his latest run-in with the Prefects, your struggles in chemistry class, the absurdity of Bullworth's social hierarchy. His arm stayed wrapped around you, a comforting weight that made you feel safe despite the danger.
