MY HERO ACADEMIA

The halls of U.A. were surprisingly quiet.

Not silent—there were always distant footsteps, muffled conversations behind classroom doors, the faint hum of activity that came with housing some of the most promising hero students in the country—but compared to everything the school represented, it felt strangely normal.

You walked down the corridor toward Class 1-A.

The polished floors reflected the overhead lights. Large windows stretched along one side of the building, allowing sunlight to pour across the hallway in long golden strips. Students occasionally passed by, some carrying notebooks, others chatting with friends as they headed toward their next lesson.

To everyone else, it was just another school day.

For you, it was your first.

The door at the end of the hallway seemed oddly intimidating.

Not because of the door itself.

Because of who was behind it.

Class 1-A.

The class that had somehow become famous.

Future heroes.

Students who had already faced villains, survived attacks, and trained under some of the greatest pro heroes in Japan.

The same class taught by Aizawa.

The same class containing students whose names regularly appeared in conversations throughout the school.

A small knot of nervous anticipation settled in your stomach as you approached.

Inside the classroom, things were considerably less calm.

The second Aizawa had mentioned a transfer student earlier that morning, the room had exploded with speculation.

Izuku Midoriya nearly dropped the notebook he had been writing in.

"A new student? Really?"

His eyes immediately lit up.

Questions were already forming in his head.

What kind of Quirk would they have?

Were they from another hero school?

How strong were they?

How had they gotten accepted into U.A.?

His pencil was already moving before anyone could answer.

Across the room, Eijiro Kirishima looked equally excited.

"Seriously?"

A huge grin spread across his face.

"That's awesome!"

Mina Ashido immediately leaned forward in her seat.

"Ooooh, I wonder what they're like!"

"Maybe they're super cool," Kaminari said.

"Maybe they're weird," Jiro replied without looking up from her desk.

"Maybe they're both."

"I hope they're friendly," Ochaco added.

Tsuyu nodded.

"That would be nice."

Mineta suddenly shot upright.

"Ohhh! What if it's a gorgeous girl?!"

"Shut up, Mineta."

Bakugo's response came instantly.

The blond didn't even bother looking up from where he sat.

His voice carried enough irritation to make Mineta shrink slightly.

"I was just saying—"

"No one asked."

Mineta quietly sat back down.

At the front of the room, Iida adjusted his glasses.

"Everyone should remember to make our new classmate feel welcome!"

"You're acting like we're greeting royalty," Jiro said.

"Proper first impressions are important!"

"They haven't even walked in yet."

"Which is exactly why preparation is necessary!"

Several students exchanged amused looks.

Some things never changed.

Meanwhile, Todoroki sat quietly by the window.

Listening.

Observing.

Not participating.

Though even he seemed slightly curious.

Tokoyami remained equally silent nearby.

Dark Shadow peeked over his shoulder.

"A new presence joins our ranks."

"You make everything sound dramatic," Sero said.

"It is dramatic."

Shoji chuckled quietly.

The room buzzed with conversation.

Speculation spread from desk to desk.

Everyone seemed to have a theory.

Everyone seemed curious.

Even Bakugo, despite pretending otherwise, had stopped completely ignoring the discussion.

His gaze occasionally drifted toward the classroom door.

Only briefly.

Then back again.

Aizawa sat behind his desk.

Watching.

Waiting.

Looking exactly as tired as always.

Eventually, the noise level reached a point where he decided enough was enough.

"Settle down."

The room immediately quieted.

Mostly.

Kaminari whispered something to Mina.

Mina whispered back.

Aizawa stared at them.

Both instantly stopped.

Silence returned.

Then—

A knock.

Every head turned toward the classroom door.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Conversation vanished.

Anticipation took its place.

Even students who had been pretending not to care suddenly found the doorway extremely interesting.

Aizawa sighed.

"Come in."

The handle turned.

The door opened.

And twenty students immediately stared.

The effect was almost comical.

Every single person in the room focused on you the moment you stepped inside.

Twenty pairs of eyes.

Twenty different reactions.

Midoriya looked fascinated.

Kirishima looked excited.

Ochaco looked welcoming.

Mina looked like she was trying not to bounce in her seat.

Iida sat perfectly upright.

Todoroki remained calm but attentive.

Bakugo looked unimpressed.

Or at least he was trying to.

The classroom itself was larger than expected.

Rows of desks filled the room.

Sunlight streamed through the windows.

Hero costumes hung on display racks near one wall from earlier training exercises.

The atmosphere felt alive.

Comfortable.

Like a group of people who had spent enough time together to become more than classmates.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

The silence stretched just long enough to become awkward.

Then Kaminari broke it.

"Oh wow, they're real."

Jiro immediately smacked him in the arm.

"What did you think? Aizawa was lying?"

"I don't know!"

The interruption shattered the tension.

Several students laughed.

Aizawa pinched the bridge of his nose.

"You're not helping."

"Sorry."

He wasn't sorry.

Not even slightly.

The teacher stood from his chair.

"This is your new classmate."

Every eye remained on you.

Aizawa looked as exhausted as someone introducing a substitute puzzle piece into an already chaotic machine.

"Try not to scare them off."

"I would never scare anyone off," Mina said immediately.

Several students looked at her.

She pointed toward herself.

"What?"

"You absolutely would," Jiro said.

"Only accidentally."

"That still counts."

Kirishima suddenly stood up.

His chair nearly fell backward.

"Hey! Welcome to Class 1-A!"

The grin on his face was impossible to miss.

"If you need anything, seriously, just ask."

"Sit down before you hurt yourself," Jiro said.

"Oh."

He sat down.

Immediately.

The class laughed again.

Midoriya looked like he wanted to ask approximately seven hundred questions.

He was trying very hard not to.

The effort was visible.

A notebook had already appeared in his hands.

Nobody seemed surprised.

Todoroki noticed it.

"So you started taking notes already."

Midoriya froze.

"...Maybe."

"You absolutely did."

Across the room, Momo smiled politely.

"Welcome to U.A."

Her tone was warm and genuine.

"Everyone here can be a little overwhelming at first."

"A little?" Sero repeated.

"Okay. Very overwhelming."

"That's more accurate."

Tsuyu nodded.

"Definitely."

The atmosphere continued loosening.

What had started as nervous anticipation quickly transformed into curiosity and excitement.

Not because they viewed you as an outsider.

Quite the opposite.

Most of them already seemed ready to include you.

To them, you weren't someone invading their class.

You were someone joining it.

A new friend.

A new classmate.

Another future hero sitting among them.

Even if some were more obvious about it than others.

Bakugo remained seated with his arms crossed.

Watching.

Assessing.

His expression hadn't changed much since you entered.

He didn't look impressed.

But he didn't look dismissive either.

More like he was evaluating.

Trying to figure out exactly who had just walked into his classroom.

Eventually, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Hope you're strong."

The statement cut through the chatter.

Several students turned toward him.

Kaminari groaned.

"There he goes."

"What?" Bakugo snapped.

"You couldn't even make it ten minutes."

"I wasn't trying to."

"That's somehow worse."

The room erupted into laughter again.

Even Aizawa looked mildly annoyed.

"Enough."

The class quieted.

Mostly.

A few lingering chuckles remained.

Aizawa pointed toward one of the empty desks.

"You can sit there."

The empty seat had clearly been prepared ahead of time.

Positioned among the others.

Not separated.

Not isolated.

Part of the class.

As you moved toward it, conversations immediately began starting up again around the room.

Whispers.

Introductions.

Curious glances.

Excited smiles.

Questions that students were clearly trying—and failing—to save for later.

For all their differences, Class 1-A shared one defining trait.

They cared.

About each other.

About becoming heroes.

About helping people.

And now, whether you were ready for it or not, that included you too.

The moment you sat down, Kaminari leaned halfway across the aisle.

"Okay, serious question."

Jiro immediately looked suspicious.

"Oh no."

"What?"

"Don't."

"I'm just asking a question."

"You never ask normal questions."

Kaminari ignored her.

"What kind of snacks do you like?"

The entire class stared.

A pause followed.

Then Mina burst out laughing.

And just like that, the first day began.

"Everyone be quiet. Introduce yourself."
