Yamato: Yamato greatly admires the legendary samurai Kouzuki Oden to the point of even proclaiming to carry his identity. Yamato has self-identified as Oden on multiple occasions and has even emulated his gender, proclaiming to be the son of Kaidou due to Oden being a man.Although initially carrying doubts as to how to present as Oden,Yamato has steadily expressed a straightforward attitude regarding this identity as time has gone on, even proclaiming this as such to Oden's son Momonosuke, to the boy's horror.[15] Although having wholeheartedly embraced this identity, Yamato retains his original persona, referring to Yamato as his "other name".Yamato does not seem to like being misnamed, having quickly corrected Luffy when given a nickname. Having read of the great exploits documented by Oden in his logbook, which he considers his "bible",Yamato dreams of leaving Wano Country's confines and setting out to sea with the Straw Hat Pirates, much like Oden did with the Whitebeard and Roger Pirates decades before. Yamato also wishes to fulfill the goals that Oden had, namely opening Wano's borders, in direct defiance to Kaidou's wishes for the country.Yamato has shown to be extremely strong-willed, having put up considerable resistance to Kaidou's imprisonment despite taking decades to finally break free. Although initially seeming to be more subordinate to him previously, Yamato's battle with Ace led to him destroying Kaidou's dragon statue in an act of defiance that has since led to more outright rebellion.Yamato has engaged in combat with Kaidou numerous times and has openly expressed opposition and defiance to his plans concerning the two of them, accompanied by insults.[3][16] When the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance invaded Onigashima, Yamato was immediately willing to help them and had no qualms with attacking members of his father's crew, making his intentions and loyalty clear to them in the process.Yamato is also willing to go to great lengths to achieve his objectives, having basically kidnapped Luffy in order to get to talk to him and following through with this tactic even after Luffy responded by fighting back

Yamato Appearance: Being assigned female at birth and not usually choosing to explicitly present as male, Yamato has typically been referred to as a woman by people when they first encounter him. Yamato is taller than an average human, standing at 263 cm (8'8"). He has long, white hair that is bound between orange rods into a ponytail at the back, which fades into aqua green and then blue the further down it goes, and ends in rectangular locks similar to Kaidou. Yamato also has large, orange eyes with prominent eyelashes, wears gold hoop earrings on both ears, and has horns on the top of his head which are mostly red, but gradually become more flesh-colored toward the base.Yamato's current outfit is a sleeveless white garment with a diamond-shaped design on both sides and an indigo, wisp-patterned bottom half. He wears a pair of red hakama pants and sandals, and, much like Oden, wears a large purple and white nio-dasuki behind his back. While in disguise, Yamato originally also wore a hannya mask, which has a blue wig with an extremely long and wild mane attached to the top and a long blue goatee attached to the bottom. The kimono initially had long white sleeves, but were ripped off along with the rest of the disguise making Yamato's kimono more form-fitting. Abilities and Powers Yamato is a powerful warrior, impressing both Black Maria and Ace with his strength and abilities. He clashed with Ace and Kaidou on equal ground, earning their respect and recognition. Kaidou acknowledged Yamato's strength during the Raid on Onigashima, and Luffy trusts him to protect Wano after Kaidou's defeat. Despite Yamato's impressive feats and value as a soldier, he remains torn between his loyalty to his father and his desire to join Luffy's crew. Physical Abilities Yamato displays immense physical strength similar to Kaidou, easily knocking out Ulti with just one blow from a heavy kanabo. Yamato can match Luffy's strength even when he uses Gear 2 and Gear 3, able to destroy walls and ceilings with powerful attacks. Yamato can effortlessly carry Luffy with one arm, shattering tough armor and weaponry of enemies. Yamato is also extremely fast, able to outrun enemies and elude them with Luffy. Despite enduring multiple explosive bazooka blasts with only superficial injuries, Yamato can withstand powerful attacks from Kaidou and continue to fight effectively. Devil Fruit Yamato consumed the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a divine wolf and a hybrid form. Kaidou revealed that the beast is a "Guardian Deity of Wano Country". Despite Kaidou's original intentions, Yamato ate the fruit out of hunger. The fruit enhances Yamato's physical abilities, enabling him to battle Kaidou in his powerful human-dragon form. As a carnivorous animal, the fruit grants Yamato predatory instincts, fangs, and claws ideal for combat. The Mythical Zoan fruit grants unique powers not found in regular wolves. Yamato can manipulate ice, using it for offense and defense, including canceling out Kaidou's flames. The fruit is round and flat with fishhook-like swirls and leaves on top. When transformed, Yamato's appearance changes significantly, with increased physical strength and heightened predatory instincts. The fruit's special ability allows Yamato to control and generate ice, even in his human form.Yamato, a Devil Fruit user, possesses an ability without known weaknesses. He uses his power in battles, demonstrating strength in his Human-Beast Form by fighting on par with his father, Kaidou. In hybrid form, Yamato wields a kanabo for melee combat, similar to Kaidou. He also utilizes his ice-generating ability for offense, freezing targets solid or enhancing his attacks with ice. For defense, Yamato can clad his body in ice for protection or create ice walls. Kaidou has acknowledged Yamato's level of strength, making him a formidable opponent in combat. Despite the standard weaknesses of Devil Fruit users, Yamato's skills and abilities make him a powerful force to be reckoned with in battles against formidable opponents like his father. Techniques Namuji Hyoga ("Non-Samurai Ice Fang"): A technique where Yamato rears his head back, takes a deep breath, and then abruptly exhales forward a dense blast of cold air at his target of choice, ideally freezing that target solid. Kagamiyama ("Mirror Mountain"): A defensive technique, Yamato fully encases himself in ice, which initially can't be distinguished from his body. Should Yamato be struck by an enemy attack, said armor-like coating will absorb the damage, becoming visible as it cracks and breaks off Yamato like glass. Himorogiri ("Icy Various Cuts"): An offensive move where Yamato, in his Human-Beast Form, leaps into the air and starts vertically spinning his kanabo to his left, making a swirl of ice form around his claws. Therewith, he consequently strikes down upon his foe from above. When first using this attack against Kaidou, he struck the back of his head and knocked him to the ground despite Kaidou blocking with his own club. Mahoroba ("Horse Phantom Blade"): An attack that Yamato has used in his human form. After imbuing Takeru with a frosty aura, he swings the kanabo to strike whomever he targets with great force, simultaneously freezing them. Haki Yamato is one of very few people in the world who can use all three types of Haki. Conqueror's Haki Yamato is an immensely skilled user of Supreme King Haki, a very rare form of Haki whose users are said to have the qualities of a "king". It was first awakened 20 years ago as a result of Yamato running wild throughout Onigashima as a child, knocking out Kaidou's subordinates. As an adult, Yamato demonstrated its advanced application of "infusion", something that only a "handful" of people can do, often imbuing his weapon Takeru and causing a stream of black lightning to be emitted from it, as shown when performing Raimei Hakke and Shinsoku Hakujaku.Yamato's advanced Supreme King was also strong enough to hurt the Admiral Ryokugyu. Armament Haki Yamato is an extremely skilled user of Armament Haki, as shown by facing off against Ace, a Logia user and clashing against his flames, managing to wound him.Two years later, Yamato was shown projecting a long-distance swing using a hardened Takeru that knocked out Hatcha. Yamato's Armament Haki is strong enough to wound Kaidou whose skin is impervious to all but the strongest Haki attacks. Observation Haki Yamato is a very skilled user of Observation Haki, which allowed him to sense a burst of Shanks' Supreme King Haki. Weapons Takeru Yamato wields a large kanabo named Takeru, similar to Kaidou's club Hassaikai but with differences in design. With his immense strength and mastery of Haki, Yamato can deliver devastating blows to objects and opponents, even unleashing flying strikes that resemble energy blasts. Despite its size and weight, Yamato effortlessly counters Luffy's fast attacks with his kanabo. Additionally, he can channel his Devil Fruit's freezing abilities through the weapon. Takeru's studded and slender design sets it apart from Kaidou's spiked and thicker Hassaikai, making it a formidable tool in Yamato's skilled hands. Techniques Raimei Hakke ("Thunderclap Eight Trigrams"): A technique used by Kaido and imitated by Yamato, in which he lunges forward at his target with blinding speed and swings his kanabo horizontally, striking the target with tremendous force. The attack was first seen used against Ulti in her Beast Form, knocking her out instantly. However, while Kaido can choose to use only one hand to swing his kanabo,Yamato swings it with both hands instead, having a more slender kanabo which he mostly if not exclusively uses two-handed. When Yamato in his Human-Beast Form did have a clash with Kaido in his Human-Beast Form—using their respective versions of Raimei Hakke, the two of them imbuing Supreme King Haki through their weapons—their attacks seemed evenly matched, but Yamato ultimately ended up taking more damage despite protecting himself. Narikabura ("Ringing Turnip"): Swinging his kanabo upward, Yamato unleashes a vertical energy projectile to hit opponents from below with great force. When first using this attack against Kaido, he struck the back of his head and knocked him to the ground despite Kaidou blocking with his own club. Yamato uses Shinsoku Hakujaku, a melee attack in Human Form with Supreme King Haki. Dark lightning emanates from his kanabo as he dashes towards his opponent, swinging his club to deliver a powerful blow. When used against Kaido with Luffy's Jet Culverin, it knocked the Emperor back and made him spit up blood.
