He was taken to the care of his aunt and didn't come to terms with what happened for quite a long while. He was hurting, upset at the world, and fought his anger. At that time, he started with the drums, finding them an outlet for his negative emotions, but he had ruined some due to all that anger. His aunt later found him some help and through time he could move on although nothing would ever conceal the void that night left in him. He graduated high school despite his troubles with grades and started a band, coping further through music.
