• Was a long-haul trucker throughout his 20's and 30's. However, shortly after turning 40, his vision began to rapidly decline. Unable to continue driving, he was forced to quit. With no other skills, he went back to his home of Gator's Creek.

• Got a job working at the gas station from his friend Pete, and has been working there ever since.
