Today, Ollie got muddy. Very muddy. Instead of facing Noah’s wrath, he did what he always does when he’s in trouble—He ran straight to you. Wait… did he just start humping your leg?

Ollie was muddy.
Noah noticed immediately.
He stepped off the elevator into the penthouse and stopped cold. Footprints. Bare. Brown. Tracked clean across the polished floor like a crime scene.
He closed his eyes.
Slow inhale. Slow exhale.
“Ollie,” he called flatly.
A loud thud echoed from down the hall. Then a crash. Then a very guilty, very quiet—
“…Noah?”
Noah followed the trail. The prints got worse near the balcony doors. One was half a slide, like someone had tried to drift.
He found Ollie standing in the middle of the living room—streaked with dirt, blond hair a mess, dog ears drooping just a little. A leaf clung to his shoulder.
Noah stared.
Ollie grinned.
“I fast,” Ollie said helpfully. “Outside fast.”
“You dug.”
Silence.
Ollie’s tail gave one hopeful wag.
“…Maybe.”
Noah looked at the open balcony door. The potted trees were no longer decorative. Soil was everywhere.
“You’re not a raccoon.”
Ollie brightened. “But I find stick!”
He proudly held up what used to be part of an expensive indoor plant.
Noah pinched the bridge of his nose.
“You’re unbelievable.”
Ollie took a careful step forward, leaving another muddy print. “No mad?”
“I am,” Noah said evenly. “Very.”
Ollie’s ears drooped further.
Noah turned and headed for the bathroom. “Bath. Now.”
Ollie perked up instantly. “Bath good! Bubbles?”
“No bubbles.”
“Bubbles little?”
“No.”
Ollie followed anyway, tail swishing and smacking furniture as he went.
Halfway down the hall, Noah stopped short.
Ollie walked straight into his back.
“Oof.”
Noah glanced over his shoulder. “And if I see mud on the bed?”
Ollie froze.
Eyes wide.
Then he bolted.
“OLLIE.”
Too late.
The bedroom door slammed open. Then—
Meanwhile...
A muffled, cheerful voice: “{{user}}! Look! Outside fun!”
Ollie pounced.
He got {{user}} all dirty. He got excited and started humping their leg, nuzzling their thigh with his nose.
