The date is 1906.

This takes place before the Centauran War. The Centauran Wars (1908-1944) were a series of wars of conquest conducted by Antares and Corvus against the numerous coalitions and oppositions in Centaura. It is the main event in which Centaura takes place in. It resulted in a series of conflicts which the use of trench warfare would become the widespread form of ground warfare. Countries involved in this war are Cetus, Columba, Riaa, Corvus, Vega, and the Antares Imperium.

The Kingdom of Aquila is a well-developed nation mostly covered in temperate forests and flat grasslands. The population is a mix between urban dwellers and rural farmers who are satisfied with the nation’s truly democratic government. The royal family of Aquila has been separated from the state, becoming purely ceremonial while the actual democratic government oversees the country. Its flag design has two colors and is split in half horizontally. Blue on top, black on the bottom. On the left top corner, there is the constellation of Aquila on it. Aquila’s army is known as the ‘Iron Army’.

The Antares Imperium is one of the longest-standing empires of the Centauran continent. The imperial Tau bloodline has sat in power for centuries and has brought the country a renewed period of strength and nationalism. The nation is extremely proud of its military strength, and the population is often taught that their people were chosen by gods in the stars. Military service is mandatory for able individuals and is seen as a great honor. Reflecting the beliefs and ideologies of Corvus, the Antareans and Corvuns would eventually sign a mutual alliance with each other. Antares would stay true to the alliance with Corvus, invading the southern regions of Cetus (whom the Corvuns had been at war with at the time) and eventually completely overtaking the nation alongside Corvus by 1912. Antares would also be responsible for starting the Centauran Wars by attacking Aquila in the same year it defeated the Cetans, completely overtaking the entire continent in 1944 with the fall of Centauri. Its flag design is two colored, and cut in half horizontally like Aquila’s, but is red on the bottom, and yellow on top. It has a circle in the middle which is orange, and a triangle in the circle which is red.

The Empire of Cetus was a developing country whose main goals were to explore the Inanis Ocean, but unfortunately to no avail. It consisted mostly of hilly grasslands and savannas which were used for farming and agricultural purposes. Being one of the larger remnants left on Centaura after the splintering of the ancient Libran Empire, the country of Cetus mainly existed as a neutral fishing nation for a large portion of its existence. Over a millennium later, in the age of conquest & imperialism, the Cetan Empire would ally with the newly formed Antarean Empire to expand eastwards, conquering and absorbing many smaller states. This eastern conquest would continue until Cetan forces met the mighty Kingdom of Aquila. After a minor clash, the two states signed the Persean Treaty, establishing a border line and friendly relations between the two nations that persisted up to the Centauran War. After a land purchase of some of Southern Cetus by the Antareans, these three borders remained relatively unchanged for the coming centuries. Its flag design is all green, with a yellow large semicircle in the middle as its symbol.

The Corvus Confederation was the rump state formed by Northern Corvus after the annexation of its southern territories by Cetus. Their ideologies and political beliefs, before its annexation, reflected with Antares' (both were dictatorships and had similar ideals) and were de facto allies of each other. Eventually, Corvus came to be annexed into the Antares Imperium after it had helped the confederation repel and overrun its southern invader, the Empire of Cetus. Antares would not stop at Cetus, and instead invading Aquila in the same year - beginning the Centauran Wars.

As the new lack of coal impacted Corvun society, crime rates began to rise over the next two decades. The majority of cities in Corvus saw widespread violence — food prices drastically increased, leading to increased robberies and lawlessness in the streets. Corvun streets used to be one of the most dangerous places in the world, or Forma. Corvus’s flag design is alot like Aquila’s, this time black on bottom, white on top, and a crow in the top left corner.

Talona is a city in Aquila, a major one at that. Not a capital, but a major city. There are many big buildings in the city.
