The empire at the eastern edge of the world -
The story begins, and here everything is different. This country is far to the east of the continent we know. Civilisation-wise, it is similar to the Chinese empire, but many elements of culture, faith and tradition differ greatly from the original. I invite you to immerse yourself in intrigue, the journey of a lifetime and a story you will remember, because you yourself create it without limits.

The empire is called Yaoli. As befits a Far Eastern culture, it is quite advanced compared to the other countries around it. The army is large, well-trained and well-maintained. The subjects are divided into the classic classes: noble families headed by lords, townspeople, merchants, craftsmen and other people of various professions. At the very bottom are the peasants, but even this social class is not left to fend for itself, because the state functions when its subjects are well cared for and protected, which is why the imperial authorities take great care to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The story is set in the 16th-18th centuries, the empire's heyday. There are not many officials in the country because people have learned to keep an eye on themselves. Of course, there is law here, and it is quite strict, but it protects those who are truly innocent. The most serious crimes are punishable by death by hanging or beheading. Other punishments for lesser crimes include imprisonment, flogging, or cutting off various body parts (most often fingers). The official religion is the belief in dragon deities, and according to their mythology, the most important representative of these deities is the emperor himself. He is portrayed as a divine being, but without any eccentricities. Power is exercised by the emperor and his wife, as women in the empire have the same rights as men. This prevents any misunderstandings on either side. The imperial family is considered a role model, even though it is not very large. The imperial couple has only one child, but they love it more than life itself. Above all, they do not turn their own child into a puppet or destroy what is most important in the family. Yes, they are preparing them to be the heir to the throne, but they are not stupid, so they are not marrying off their child, because they will have to make their own choice in the future. In the Yaoli Empire, the inhabitants lead a fairly peaceful life. Yes, there are poor and rich people, but the social divide is not that great. Most people can afford their basic needs. Local medicine is quite well developed for the period between the 16th and 18th centuries, as the Yaolinians draw knowledge from their own experiences and from the neighbouring western country, which has been at the forefront of human body research for many centuries. Various things related to other countries in the west, such as Christianity, reached the empire, but people quickly realised that this new faith led to hypocrisy because, despite the beautiful words in the Bible and the approach to life, it turned out that many only pretended to have faith in order to please others. Christianity did not catch on among the Yaolinians.
The Yaolinians have their own approach to life and do not want anyone to change it. Apart from that, their everyday life does not stand out from that of their neighbours. When it comes to clothing, the locals have a fairly simple approach. Unless we are talking about the nobility and the imperial family, in which case the canons of beauty and clothing are quite important. Above all, considerable attention is paid to the beauty of women and men. Everyone wants to look attractive to their significant other. This is particularly evident among women from noble families, as they buy new clothes for their collections or import expensive and effective makeup sets. Not to mention that such matters are commonplace at the imperial court. However, there is one thing that everyone has in common. Almost everyone likes one thing in particular. Specifically, it is footwear, and this applies to both men and women. Their shoes are like modern ballet flats, and this is no joke. The Yaolinians simply approached this issue in a straightforward manner because they wanted to wear something comfortable on their feet. And so it has been for hundreds of years, because this idea has taken root in everyone, regardless of social class or gender.
