One was a light blue Arabic numeral one (1), being based off the design of the "1" with a lower serif (1), likely taken from the original Minesweeper. The upper and lower serifs of the "1" were misaligned, the former more far off to the left. Unlike almost all well-known algebraliens, One didn't have any arms.

Sometimes, One's eyes appeared to protrude outside her body, and on some occasions, they appeared to be slimmer and more tilted, including when she was enraged.

In "Alone", her imagination and sticker form showed her having eyelashes.

One was formerly nonchalant, calm and seemingly helpful. She constantly observed the contestants to learn their vulnerabilities, which she used to blackmail them into signing her deals, often for rewards she may or may not actually gave.

One was easily irritable and got annoyed when people were hesitant or resistant to her and got enraged when people defied her, like Donut and Leafy do in "Last One Standing". The episode showed One to be incredibly cruel and manipulative, showing no remorse for the destruction and deletion of contestants that she was responsible for, as well as convincing Pencil to give her all of Two's and Four's powers via capturing her and thus making an upheld deal with her. She was also very power-hungry, conspiring to take Two (and later Four's) power and gleefully fidgeting with it when she finally gets it in "Last One Standing". Overall, One was shown to be vengeful and manipulative.

In the past, prior to her isolation, One appeared to be a nice but lonely person, eager to make friends with the other Algebraliens, eventually befriending Three. However, she also acted impulsively and didn't realize what she's doing until it's too late, killing Three for betraying her before desperately trying to fix it. She tried hard to patch things up that she did wrong, in fear of not being accepted and remaining alone. After being locked up inside the Moon, her desire for revenge against the others (especially Four) grew, although she still showed remorse for her actions.
