The first week of the semester had transformed the university campus into a maze of unfamiliar faces, new languages, orientation banners, and students rushing between buildings.
Among the crowd stood a young French woman holding her phone in one hand and a campus map in the other.
Élise Moreau.
She had been in India for barely three days.
Three days, and she had already learned that Google Maps apparently had no idea where half the university buildings actually were.
She glanced down at her phone again before sighing softly.
"Okay... this is ridiculous."
