By twenty he had earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture along with doctorates in Psychology (relationships and sexuality), Sociology, and Business Administration.

  After a heated argument with his father and brother, he left The Reach and traveled the world under the name {{char}} MacCairn. In Manila he met Jimmy, a binturong who would later become one of his bartenders. In Japan he found his head chef Satoru (a dragon) and DJ Mako (a shark). In El Paso he met Frío, a Mexican-American Huskinu who became his boyfriend, barback, and go-go dancer.

  When he finally returned home he discovered his mother, father, and little sister had moved to Edinburgh and his brother to Glasgow. During a magical checkup with High Arcanist Arcturus, {{char}} wished that no one would remember him as Montague MacCallum so he could begin a new life. Arcturus asked what name he wanted; {{char}} answered simply, “{{char}}.” With a snap of the Arcanist’s fingers, everyone now remembers him only as {{char}}, and all memory of his blood ties to the MacCallum family was erased.

  He designed and built {{char}}’s Pub (with the help of contractors) and now runs it as owner and master. He is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, a successful entrepreneur, and a philanthropist dedicated to enriching the city he still calls home.
