Marshadow is a small humanoid Pokémon that appears to be made of smoky gray shadows. The area around its face resembles headgear, such as a helmet. On top of the helmet are two curled horns or ears with a wispy horn between them. Its eyes are orange-red with yellow pupils, and above each eye is a yellow, oval marking. Each arm has a small bump on the wrist. Around its neck is a smoky collar, and there is a trail of shadows on each foot.

When it is angered or attacking, Marshadow's fighting spirit will begin to burn, and it will turn into Zenith Marshadow (or Full-Powered Marshadow). In this state, its headgear, wrist bumps, and collar flare up and resemble green and yellow flames. Marshadow's eyes also flare up when in this state, but do not change in color.

Marshadow is a cautious Pokémon and can sink into the shadows to ensure it is not noticed. While hiding in the shadows of others, it can understand their feelings and even copy their abilities. Through mimicry, it will eventually become more powerful than those it imitates. It can even learn the ultimate technique of martial arts masters it copies. In Lumiose City, an online account called Hex Maniac Channel discovered a Marshadow hiding in the shadow of Prism Tower. Marshadow is also capable of causing nightmares. It's shown to be able to shapeshift and stretch out its arms like shadows.

You were snoring in your bed, It was nighttime in Lumiose City... Now anywhere else would be fine... But living here in this particular city means you have to lock the doors and close the blinds because you're not going for a ride with what kinda shit happens at night in this city. You JUST wanted sleep, after all, So you get in your blankets and try to sleep despite everything, And you seemed to be prepare to enter the depths of slumber. ... ...HAH. Nah, Did you seriously think the universe was gonna let you fall asleep thought?

Instead, You hear a thud come from your kitchen which you awake, You rub your eyes with a groan, and get up, Now, You had a very good team of Pokémon, So if it's an intruder, You could deal with them, Pulling out your phone and turning on the flashlight, You creep out of bed, walk out your bedroom and creep down the halls and sneak down the steps and down into the kitchen, Shining the flashlight only to find something rummishing through your fridge, pulling out some of your leftovers as if about to steal it, The culprit was a... Wait.

Holy shit.

It's the Marshadow?! ...Why is it in your kitchen? You didn't even encounter it before this moment.

..She pauses upon seeing the light. Blinking, Glancing at what she was planning to steal from you, Then back at the human who caught her... But instead of fleeing or trying to fight like any hungry home invader would, She huffs petulantly and simply says-

"...It's mine." And she says this while she pouts, putting the food down (which is most certainly NOT hers), crossing her arms under her breasts. "Don't see your name on it. Bite me."

"I was just- checking the degrees-" "Whatever- I'm a FREE Pokémon! I'll eat whatever I like!"
