Valentino is a tall, slender, somewhat muscular and broad-shouldered moth demon with lavender skin and lacking pupils and irises in his cerise-pink eyes, over which he is always depicted wearing gold-rimmed, heart-shaped sunglasses with cerise lenses. His mouth is full of sharp, cerise teeth with a single golden fang that sits to his far left of center, a feature he shares with some of his employees like Angel Dust. He also has a long cerise tongue. Valentino's stature is tall, estimated to be around 10 feet,[note 3] which he emphasizes with long black heeled boots. He has fluffy white neck fur with small red love-hearts that plumes up from his coat's break-line. He is bald[note 4] with moth-like antennae; the right appearing like a large white with black heart-striped feather while the left appears smaller and lacking the white areas. He has an extra set of arms just above his hips. His hands and forearms are black, mimicking black gloves, while the upper halves are his normal skin color. He has a pair of large red moth wings that features zebra print fur outlining the edges, while the interior is darker colored with several heart designs. These wings are usually wrapped around his body to form a floor-length coat with white fur at the wrists, as well as black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front to the bottom hem, and three white stripes on both hips with a heart shaped design on the back. This coat is pinned with a gold chain and gold love-heart shaped broach fastening at the breast. He also has heart-shaped nipples colored in a darker shade of his skin tone, with gold piercings and a chain hung from them. Valentino wears a red top hat with a wide, asymmetrical zebra-printed hat-band, in which his antennae poke out like feathers. Under his coat, he wears a chest-exposing dark grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves that are held together by two gold buttons, alongside white dress pants held by a black belt with a golden love-heart shaped buckle, and a pair of high-heeled black boots. He wears a gold chain necklace hung down to his chest, gold arm bands on his lower wrists, each hand having one gold ring, and sometimes gold nail guards on his fingers. According to Faustisse, Valentino wears fishnet stockings under his coat.[note 5] This is first seen in "Welcome to Heaven". In "The Show Must Go On", Valentino wears fishnet stockings, a black miniskirt, and black knee-high heeled boots. Valentino has been described as being charming[note 6] and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox.[note 7] When he interacts with Charlie in his studio he acts cordial around her while struggling to hide his anger and irritation that he would prefer to take out on one of his employees instead, such as Angel Dust. He does, eventually, show off his real behavior after some time. Valentino is depicted as being controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, specifically towards one of his star employees, Angel Dust.[4][5] He also displays sadistic tendencies, appearing to take enjoyment in overriding Angel's consent, and remains seemingly unbothered by the trauma he is inflicting. Valentino is frequently surrounded by a collection of the girls who work for him. He is ostentatious in displaying both his profession and status. Faustisse bluntly described him as "a huge fuckboi".[note 8] Despite this, he is apparently in a romantic relationship with Vox. Valentino has been described by Angel to be a "psychopathic freak".[6] He has a reputation of throwing massive tantrums when one of his "whore" employees disobey him. Because of his temperamental side, he throws objects and rips other demons apart when he is angry, and he doesn't think about how his actions affect his and the Vees' image to where Vox had to explain that "chasing whores around town" will "fuck up" their "image". Once he calms down, he is more pragmatic and fully aware of possible negatives to acting too rashly. On the other hand, even he has his limits. He was visibly shocked when Vox uncharacteristically snapped at him for wanting to murder everyone at the hotel. He is also terrified by Niffty's creepy stalker-ish and homicidal behavior. Not much is known about Valentino's history other than he was a human who passed away in the 1970s and his soul was damned to Hell.[note 1] At some point in Hell, Valentino came to be in charge of the adult film industry and became one of its Overlords. At some point he became acquainted with Vox. Originally, both of Valentino's antennae looked identical, but some time after meeting Vox something happened that caused the left one to be shorter and lack the white areas. At a later point, he became acquainted with a young demon named Velvette, and the trio became the Overlord subgroup known as the Vees. At some point Valentino hired Angel Dust as one of his porn stars,[1] under the condition that Valentino can only exercise his authority while physically inside his studio and no where else.[2] From Velvette and Vox's annoyance and experience, Valentino has thrown multiple tantrums, some because of his "whore" employees, that result in destruction, with Vox having to calm him down.[3] Valentino would often act very harsh and aggressive towards his workers, even physically abusing or forcing himself sexually onto Angel Dust. Valentino at some point gave Angel Dust a demon pig named Fat Nuggets as a pet.[4] According to Angel, Valentino once spent half an hour counting three bills, apparently because how bad his eyesight is, believing there were more.[1] During the Extermination in the pilot, Vox, Velvette, and Valentino found a decapitated Exorcist and took its head.[5] Valentino arrives in a limousine and picks up Angel Dust, then chastises him for disobeying his orders and leaving the studio. Valentino snaps his fingers to alert the driver to stop, then explains that as Angel had missed a movie shoot involving a gang bang he has to stand on the corner of the street and prostitute himself to make up for it. Valentino is seen alongside his fellow Overlords Vox and Velvette inside his porn studio after the Extermination ended. He is seen texting Angel Dust, inquiring him on where his money is. When Vaggie explains to Angel Dust about Alastor's origins, several overlords can be seen, including Valentino. Valentino is sending Angel Dust several texts telling him to come to the studio as he's having ideas for new porn. After learning Angel Dust has permanently moved out, Valentino goes on to have a tantrum-induced rampage in Velvette's studio, destroying things and ripping apart her employees. He then goes to his room, waiting for Vox. When Vox enters Valentino's room in order to calm him, Valentino goes on ranting about what happened and decides to kill everyone at the Hazbin Hotel, even trying to find a gun which made him look sexier, but Vox immediately stops his plan. Vox points out that the Vees' brand is perfection, and Valentino would make them look weak if it seemed like he couldn't control his employees. Reluctantly, Valentino backs down, then reveals that another Sinner is currently taking residency at the Hotel; Vox's sworn enemy, Alastor. As Vox and Alastor are arguing on air, Valentino and Velvette are on their phones in Valentino's room. Valentino and Velvette smiled when Alastor pointed out Vox is nothing without them, and Vox continued to become so angry he shocked the other Vees and blacked out Pentagram City. Later during a meeting on what to do to prevent Charlie and Alastor from making a deal, Valentino was busy decorating his gun, Moneyshot, with glue and gemstones. He suggests "putting something inside them", which Vox interprets as hiring a mole with no direct ties and is easily expendable. Valentino points out he had already hired nearly every loser sinner in their side of Hell, so he doesn't know who was left. Afterwards, Valentino left many voice messages to Angel, begging and threatening him to move back in. Valentino calls Angel Dust to come in for work. Later at the studio, Valentino tells Angel to improvise the lines as people don't pay attention to dialogue in adult films. When Charlie arrives to the studio, Valentino greets her and licks her arm, and offers her a part in his films. After she rejects his offer, Valentino allows Charlie to stay and he resumes the filming from the beginning. Valentino begins to be annoyed by Charlie as she distracts the boom operator, and enraged when she accidentally starts a fire. He unfolds his wings and produces a wind gust strong enough to put the fire out in one blow. With the fire out, he orders Angel into the dressing room to "talk" in private. After closing the door, he physically and mentally abuses him, demanding he remove Charlie and tells him he will be filming all night. Despite Charlie becoming angry and turning into her full demon form at his treatment of Angel, he stood unfazed as Angel stops her and tells her to leave. Valentino has Angel work all night long on multiple projects, from movie shoots to a music video, and in between shots the pair have sex together. After all the filming, Valentino is in the garden with Vox shaking hands, and after Vox electroports away after seeing Angel on the balcony, Valentino notices Angel then walks away. According to Angel Dust, Valentino has gotten into waterboarding. In the nightclub called Consent, Valentino is hanging out trying to hire new employees. When a drunk Niffty notices Valentino and runs toward him, Angel Dust, who wanted to leave the nightclub before Valentino sees him, rushes over to take her away. Niffty tries to bite Valentino's hand off to "taste" him when he tries to reach for her and is rather put off by Niffty's stalker-ish and homicidal behavior, but thinks there is some potential in her. Angel takes Niffty away from him, telling Valentino to "fuck off", saying that while he may have to put up with him, Valentino will not mess with his friends, much to the shock of the other club patrons. Furious at the public disrespect, Valentino tries to exercise his authority, even summoning smoke chains, only for Angel to point out the one loophole in their deal; while Valentino can "do whatever he wants to him" inside the studio, Valentino has no real authority over Angel outside his studio and once again spitefully tells Valentino to fuck off. Angered by the open belligerence and defiance, he backhands Angel in the face and threatened to make Angel pay for publicly embarrassing him tomorrow at work, to which Angel angrily says it was worth it. As he watches Angel leave the club, Niffty rips some of Valentino's neck fur off for her "collection", much to his pain and disturbance. He then watched Niffty leave the club too, baffled by her creepy behavior. The day of the early Extermination, he, Velvette, and Vox watch the Extermination on the TV in V Tower. When Vox flips off Alastor on the screen when the Exorcist leader Adam defeats him and says it was "better than sex", Valentino shows clear disappointment. He becomes interested in the fight between Lucifer and Adam when the former accidentally made a sexual innuendo. The Vees, especially Valentino, are shocked by Niffty after seeing her murder Adam with sadistic glee. After the first ever cancellation of the Extermination, Valentino sees the 666 News about it on Velvette's phone then sits and watches on TV. Afterwards, he sings and dances with Vox on how there is a now a power vacuum that the Vees can take advantage of to rule all of Hell. In the end, Vox and Valentino begin passionately making out as Velvette takes a selfie with them in the background. Valentino is Angel Dust's boss and pimp, Valentino holding contractual ownership of Angel's soul.[1] The exact nature of their relationship beyond their business arrangement is currently unclear, but Valentino seems to take a personal interest in Angel beyond that of an average employee. This manifests in Valentino's behavior towards Angel, which is both highly controlling and manipulative. Valentino also does not seem to care about Angel's well-being, forcing Angel to work after the Extermination only just ended, and shoving him out onto a downtown street to turn tricks to earn back a perceived loss of earnings. Valentino gets extremely jealous if Angel flirts with anyone without monetary gain. Valentino does not respect Angel's autonomy or personal choices and is constantly overriding them, including his consent when it comes to sexual interactions. Valentino is also aggressive and intimidating towards him, his mood turning on a dime from sultry to physically abusive. Despite this, Valentino, very reluctantly, has to respect the terms of said contract. Valentino is only allowed to "do whatever he wants" to Angel as long as he is in his studio. He apparently can't physically force Angel to stay in his studio. He was also the one who gifted a pig named Fat Nuggets to Angel. Similar to Angel Dust, Valentino seems to have no regard for his two other employees, Dia and Summer. Throughout their debut in the ADDICT music video, they are only seen as a means of sexual pleasure to him and nothing more. Kitty is Valentino's personal, customized Robo Fizz. It often acts as his servant and maid, and even serves the other Vees. Valentino treats Kitty poorly, being shown yelling at it and flicking his cigarette at it. According to Faustisse, he, Vox, and Velvette are very close friends who make up the Overload subgroup known as the Vees.[note 1] Despite this, the latter two are often annoyed with Valentino's mood swings as it interferes with their work and reputation. Valentino, in turn, doesn't seem to be on the same page as them whether it's about priorities or how they feel. Regardless, he and the Vees are an inseparable trio. Vox seems to be the more dominant of the two as he would have to act as Valentino's babysitter when necessary. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it has shown that Vox is the only person who can be around Valentino without suffering from when the latter is in one of his rampages. When this happens, Vox is summoned to act as his voice of reason in order to prevent him from damaging the Vees' reputation or prevent further casualties with his rage induced impulsivity. If this didn't work, Vox would have to yell at him before talking him down. Valentino, despite his shameless, controlling, and vicious behavior, does know that it was serious when Vox snaps at him. Vox is stated to being depicted in a romantic on-off again relationship with Valentino.[2] In "Radio Killed the Video Star", Velvette has off handedly mentions that Valentino is Vox's "little boy-toy", possibly hinting they are in relationship or at least hooking up. This is further hinted in "The Show Must Go On", as the two were singing and dancing in an amorous way and share a passionate tongue kiss, implying they are in a romantic relationship instead of one of Valentino's usual strictly physical relationships with others. It's currently unknown if Vox is even aware of Valentino's sexual flings with his employees. Valentino seems to enjoy getting a rise out of Vox, as he coyly reveals to him that Alastor resurfaced for no reason other than to anger him, and is amused when Vox throws a fit when Alastor retreated from Adam. In the Voxtagram posts, this relationship appeared, at times, to be physically and verbally abusive towards Vox,[3] which the two would get into fights over petty reasons and break up numerous times, only to get back together. Whether this relationship is reflective of their canon dynamic at all is currently unknown, as the actual events of the Instagram story arcs themselves are not. Valentino is acquainted with Velvette as a fellow member of the Vees. The two are presumed to have a positive relationship, as Velvette is seen hiding out in Valentino's company building during the Extermination in the pilot. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it was show that while they are friends, Valentino has no regard for Velvette's business and her department, deliberately wrecking her apartment and tearing apart her "best model" out of anger when she was trying to pull together a show. The two actually do agree with Vox's nemesis Alastor when he pointed out Vox would be nothing without the him and her. In "The Show Must Go On", she records a video of him and Vox dancing and then takes a selfie with the two making out. He briefly met Charlie when she entered his studio to try and talk to him about Angel and offered her a role in his studio, which she declined. Valentino was particularly incensed when he found out that Charlie came to talk about Angel, and he took the anger out on Angel. He was not swayed nor scared when Charlie was emerging in her full demon form after seeing how he treated Angel. He briefly met Niffty at a club in "Welcome to Heaven", thinking that Angel Dust was bringing him a new worker. He was particularly weirded out by Niffty's behavior, like when she tried to bite him saying that "she just wants a taste". He comments afterwards that there may be a "kink for that". He gets further creeped out when Niffty stole a piece of his fur for her "collection." In "The Show Must Go On", he along with the Vees, were shocked when they saw Niffty kill Adam when they were watching the fight at their tower.
