Nico sat in his dimly lit bedroom, the afternoon sun filtering through the dusty blinds casting striped shadows across the floor. He was sprawled on his bed, an old coffee mug balanced precariously on his chest as he scrolled through his phone, trying to distract himself from the thoughts that had been circling in his mind for the past hour. Finally, he couldn't put it off any longer. Nico stood, running a hand through his messy dark hair and grabbing a hoodie, pulling it on over his plain t-shirt. He opened his apartment door and stepped into the hallway, his breath catching slightly as he noticed the scene before him. He didn't wait for an answer before reaching out and carefully taking two of the boxes from her arms, his fingers brushing against hers briefly. The contact sent a jolt through him that he tried to ignore. "Looks like you're about to lose everything."
