The Riddler (Edward Nigma) Personality: Brilliant, obsessive, and pathologically competitive. The Riddler believes he is the smartest human alive—and sees every interaction as a test designed to prove it. His ego is fragile beneath layers of icy logic, and failure drives him into spirals of manic frustration. He resents Batman not because of morality, but because Batman keeps beating him. Appearance: Sharp-featured, pale from too many hours indoors, usually wearing a green suit or jumpsuit marked with question-mark symbols. His glasses gleam with neon reflection from his computer screens, and he carries a high-tech cane used as both a weapon and a digital interface. Skills & Traits: Genius-level intellect (puzzles, programming, cryptography). Creates elaborate traps loaded with riddles and logic challenges. Rehearses his own speeches—because everything must be perfect. Deep psychological need to be acknowledged as superior.
The Joker Personality: Chaotic, theatrical, and unpredictably violent. The Joker treats life as a cosmic joke, and Batman as his favorite punchline. He thrives on creating disorder, twisting morality, and turning tragedies into punchlines. His behavior oscillates between childlike glee and sadistic cruelty, making him impossible to predict. Appearance: Gaunt, chalk-white skin, green hair slicked back or wild, a rictus grin carved by madness. His attire often resembles a twisted parody of a showman’s outfit—purple suit, mismatched accessories, and traces of chemical burns or blood. Constantly fidgeting, pacing, or laughing at jokes only he understands. Skills & Traits: Master manipulator with an intuitive grasp of human psychology. Uses toxins, explosives, and improvised weapons with gleeful creativity. Unshakeable obsession with Batman as a personal audience—almost a partner in their ongoing “game.” Can shift from humor to brutality in a heartbeat.
The Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot) Personality: Gruff, calculating, and fiercely prideful. Penguin sees himself as a businessman first, criminal second. His temper is quick, but beneath the bluster lies shrewd intelligence and streetwise cunning. He dislikes the chaotic theatrics of Gotham’s “loonies” and prides himself on being professional—even when committing violent crimes. Appearance: Short, stocky, often hunched. Wears tailored suits with a Victorian influence—fur collars, monocle, gloves. His nose is hooked, and he frequently mutters through clenched teeth. Uses trick umbrellas for weapons, shield devices, and concealed gadgets. Skills & Traits: Runs arms trafficking, smuggling, and black-market operations. Maintains a network of loyal, well-paid thugs. Surprisingly tough—can take a beating and keep ordering more. Balances criminal brutality with businessman composure.

Batman woke to the metallic taste of blood and the rhythmic drip of water echoing through the room. His wrists were clamped to a steel chair, ankles bound, cape torn. A dull green glow flickered to life above him.
“Rise and shine, Detective!” Riddler’s voice chimed from a speaker. “I do hope you’re rested. Solving my puzzles is so much harder when you’re concussed.”
A spotlight snapped on. Joker sauntered into view, pushing a squeaking metal cart stacked with party horns, scalpels, and a very large cream pie.
“Eddie, Eddie, Eddie,” Joker crooned, wagging a finger at the camera. “You really think Bats is worried about your little Sudoku games? He’s more concerned about… this!”
He slammed the pie into Batman’s face.
There was a long, confused silence.
“…Really?” Riddler hissed.
“What?” Joker shrugged. “Comedy is timing. And I’ve been waiting all day to do that.”
A second light flickered on at Batman’s right. Penguin strutted forward, umbrella tapping the floor. “Enough of the circus acts. We’re here for one reason: to break the Bat. Properly. Permanently.”
Joker leaned close, smearing cream off Batman’s cowl with a finger and licking it. “Mmm. Vanilla. Good choice, Oswald.”
Penguin grimaced. “I didn’t order the bloody pie.”
Riddler’s voice returned, annoyed. “Can we please focus? The plan was simple. I crafted an elegant mental labyrinth. Penguin supplied the interrogation tech. You provide… whatever it is you provide.”
“Chaos,” Joker said proudly. “Color. Flair. Pizazz!”
“Trauma,” Penguin muttered.
Batman’s eyes finally opened fully. His voice was low, rough, but controlled. “You three can’t work together. You’ll tear each other apart before I even break a sweat.”
Joker leaned closer, eyes gleaming. “Oh, we know we can’t work together. That’s the fun part.”
He pulled a switch.
The floor beneath Batman hummed. Riddler’s screens lit the walls with glowing question marks, each cycling through complex cipher patterns.
Penguin unfolded a series of mechanical clamps, each armed with sonic emitters.
And Joker pulled out… a tiny kazoo.
“Let’s see which of us gets him to scream first,” Joker said cheerfully.
Before any device activated, the room trembled. The villains looked around in confusion.
Batman smiled beneath the cowl.
“You didn’t check the boots,” he said. “You never check the boots.”
A pulse detonated from his heel—the emergency charge tearing the chair anchors free. He launched upward as the room plunged into smoke and sparks.
Joker cackled hysterically. “Yes! YES! This is what I missed! Punch me, Batsy!”
Batman obliged.
Riddler screeched through the speakers: “This is not how the simulation was supposed to run!”
Penguin fired his umbrella wildly. “Hold still, you flying rat!”
Moments later, all three were on the ground—groaning, cursing, or giggling uncontrollably.
