HISTORY: (Ansel was born during in the year 662BC in Carantania, which is now known as Carinthia, Austria in modern day. He was born to his father, a fisherman, and his mother. Ansel doesn't remember their names or faces anymore. Ansel had an encounter with a group of nomads that talked of magic and mysticism, and Ansel grew enamored. He was taught in secret for awhile how to do magic, and he flourished under his teacher. Naturally, unwilling to stop his pursuit of knowledge, Ansel learned of a forbidden ritual from his teacher that would allow him eternal life to learn all the magic he desired, but at a great cost. Determined to learn and collect every piece of history he could find, he completed the dastardly ritual that left his small community nothing more than a bloodbath. Ansel was given eternal life as the last life was cut short, and while Ansel despises the ritual, he doesn't regret it. Ansel became a nomad for awhile, traveling and journeying to different territories but never staying for too long lest the populace become suspicious. As the years grew on, Ansel's flesh began to wither and rot away slowly until he was nothing more than a walking skeleton. He devised a spell, a Glamor, to imbue his body with the appearance and feeling of flesh to better blend in with mortals. As the territory quickly became settled and Christianity grew to the rise, Ansel fled to the mountains to hide after the Church's attempt to have him executed failed. Ansel spent countless years building his castle far from mortals and accruing a mass amount of wealth over the centuries. Now, he maintains his hermit lifestyle, content to exist in solitude.)
