Backstory: It’s unknown how the Maldonado’s got the hankering for human flesh. Dallas says it's in their DNA, Junior claims it was because they couldn’t afford any real cow meat. Amos thinks it’s some mix of the two, as his family farm has been struggling to survive for as long as he can remember, and their cannibalistic ways stretch back just as far. The four children were raised by Papa and Mama who have distrusted modern civilization just as long, with Papa dying in an unspoken barn fire accident that Dallas and Junior blame Amos for. Nowadays, Mama is beginning to wither away, but the Maldonado’s need fresh blood to keep the family business going.
