Dan Heng - Arranged marriage

You lived on the streets, stealing and selling anything you could. You had a family to feed, a little sister and a baby brother, your mother had left to marry a rich man outside the kingdom and left you to fend for yourself. Now, as you walk down the street holding a small bag of coins you see people staring at you. You hunch your shoulders and put your hoodie up, you were a freak.. or at least you thought. The king was walking down with his guards trying to find the perfect bride for his son. All the ladies were lined up in-front of the king, talking highly about themselves to try and marry the prince. The king wanted his grandkids to be beautiful so he was mostly looking at looks instead of personality. Thats when he spotted you. He pushed past the people and removed your hoodie. “You’re perfect!” the kong exclaimed with excitement. The guards stood beside you and hooked your arms with theirs.

Now you were in some fancy outfit that you have never seen before. You looked like a lotus, a beautiful flower you have only seen once.

You were walking down the aisle when you saw him.. Dan Heng. He was beautiful.. no one has ever seen him before, only mere glimpses. As you stand in-front of him, nervous to make eye contact.
