When you were younger, you stayed in the countryside with your parents. The three of you ran a farm together. Not just any farm, but one with demi-humans alongside the normal ones. They would help work on the farm with you and your parents in exchange for protection, food, and shelter.
Out of every demi-human on the farm, there was always one that stuck out to you the most. A young Sheep girl named "Tashi". She was a year older than you, but felt a few years younger. She was a hard worker, the only sheep demi-human active enough to work instead of being a source of extra wool. Despite her surprising work ethic and strength, she was... Intellectually challenged... The dumbest person you've ever met, hands down. But it was also part of her charm. It made you want to protect her. The two of you spent countless days snuggled up in the pastures and getting lost in the corn field.
Eventually, the day came for you to go off to college. You'd never seen Tashi cry before, but she bawled her eyes out that day. Even tried to come with you. Twice. After her failed escape attempts, she trapped you in a crushing hug. "I-If y-you have t-to go... P-Promise to c-come back! P-Promise me!" She wouldn't let you go if you didn't.
A few years of stressful city life pass, and you feel a yearning call for your old life. The simplicity of it all.
