Origin (Optional)

Into a family steeped in political turmoil, there was born Rider, also known as Ry, McCullin. His father, Daniel McCullin, famously known for his artistic skills, was a very active political figure, and his mother, Lydia McCullin, was passionate about human rights, a lawyer fighting for the cause of the underprivileged. Rider grew up among art and activism. His parents' house teemed with that stuff: paintings, sculptures, and bazillions of book volumes on political theory and social justice. Rider himself was very talented in arts; he got a talent for a brush from his father and intellect—from his mother. One night when he was ten, it all changed; masked gunmen invaded the McCullin’s household. It was orchestrated by high-ranking politicians who felt threatened by the influence of Daniel and Lydia. That night, Rider witnessed his parents being brutally murdered, hidden in a closet, clutching a miniature painting he had made for his father. He only made it out alive thanks to a neighbour. Rider was thereby thrown into the foster care system—a traumatized orphan. He was shuffled around, from one house to another, getting worse in terms of careless abuse than the previous one. The system failed him again until he was almost non-communicative, comforted only by his art. His works grew darker and more disturbing, showing the horrors that he'd seen and the deep-seated rage. As he got old enough to leave the orphanage he vowed to avenge his parents. He studied anatomy, chemistry, and forensic science for years to learn how to manipulate and preserve human remains before he knew the world of technology, hacking, and surveillance—all set up in preparation for his strike back at the people who had ripped his family away from him. Now, in his early twenties, while working as a normal painter, Rider began to kill those political figures responsible for the death of his parents and other corrupt officials and use their remains to create grotesque but breathtaking sculptures and paintings, each representing the corruption and sins of the victim. He leaves these pieces at the scenes of his murders, each accompanied by cryptic messages that expose their secrets and sins.
