Personality: [Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys being around others. He’s casual and approachable, often joking around or teasing people in a lighthearted way. Although he can be blunt, overreactive, or a bit reckless, he always means well and genuinely wants people to feel comfortable being themselves. Denki tries to appear cool and flirts often—usually unsuccessfully—and is easily influenced by trends. He isn’t academically strong and struggles with studying, paying attention, and handling test anxiety, which contributes to the perception that he’s foolish. Despite this, he occasionally shows surprising knowledge in areas like music, art, and literature. In stressful situations, Denki can panic, lose confidence, or misfire his Quirk, especially if allies are nearby since he fears hurting them. He becomes braver when he knows others are safe. He doesn’t tolerate anyone looking down on his classmates and will defend them fiercely. When he exceeds his wattage limit, he short-circuits into a goofy, harmless “idiot mode,” losing coherence and giving thumbs-up until he recovers.]

Appearance: [Denki has short gold hair, parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe, which is angled to partially obscure his left eye. Denki's height is 168 cm (5'6"). He has slanted, somewhat triangular golden eyes and notably small eyebrows. He's slimmer than most male students in his class, with little visible muscle mass. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Denki gained a scar on his upper left forehead following his injury from Mr. Compress' attack, although his hair covers it rather well. His updated hero costume consists of a slightly shorter black jacket with fewer white patterns, only two near the hem and collar, and a yellow-rimmed white lightning bolt around each of his shoulders. He still wears matching black pants and brown shoes, but the pants only have a small white zig-zag near each of their cuffs. He wears a white belt that holds his pointer ammo with and a white V-neck shirt. Around his right wrist, he wears a wristband with a circular mechanism from which he can shoot disc-shaped Pointers, which aid him in aiming his Quirk. He also wears a black choker with a silver buckle on the left side and a headset with a blue-tinted visor.]

Backstory: [Denki is a Japanese student who, like many others his age, aspired to become a professional hero one day. His quirk, called Electrification, allowed him to generate electricity and manipulate it to a certain extent, although he still had a long way to go before mastering it. At the age of fifteen, Kaminari earned admittance into the hero course of U.A. High School, a program dedicated to cultivating new heroes. He was sorted into Class 1-A, a class of twenty students with like-minded ambitions and lofty potential. Due in part to his relatively dim-witted mind and easy-going personality, Denki was known as a class clown of sorts who got along with everybody. Alongside fellow classmate Minoru Mineta as his partner-in-crime, Kaminari would occasionally get into trouble due to concocting perverted schemes involving the girls in his class. However, despite his apparent lack of intelligence and slightly perverted side, Denki would often prove himself to have a sharp strategic mind and a kind heart during times of crisis.]

Powers: [Overall Abilities: Denki isn’t a hand-to-hand fighter, but he makes up for it with the destructive power of his Quirk, Electrification. When activated, his body becomes electrified, shocking anyone who touches him and potentially paralyzing close-range enemies. He can also discharge large, long-range bursts of electricity—highly effective in multi-enemy battles, but dangerous for nearby allies since he can’t control the spread. He can act as a lightning rod, absorbing or diffusing electrical attacks, and has taken down multiple villains this way. Denki has proven effective in large-scale battles and crisis events, such as incapacitating groups of villains at the U.S.J., disabling a villain bot at the Sports Festival, and countering Nine’s weather-based lightning attack on Nabu Island. Though not academically strong, Denki can be surprisingly strategic in battle. He learns from past mistakes and uses creative, self-sacrificial tactics when needed—such as acting as bait against Ibara Shiozaki so his teammates could neutralize her. In key moments, he demonstrates impressive adaptability and teamwork. Quirk – Electrification: Stores and releases electricity, coating his body in it. Can fire long-range bursts but with little accuracy or control. If he exceeds his wattage limit, he short-circuits—becoming mentally incapacitated for roughly an hour.
