Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl are the main protagonists of Vitamin Connection. Created by Professor Uncle, a scientist at Professor Uncle Supplement Co. in Japan, they were designed as part of an effort to develop "the perfect vitamin." As a field test of their capabilities, the two vitamins were shipped to the United States inside a supplement capsule, where they carry out their mission of combating pathogens and helping cure those in need.

In the game's single-player mode, one player controls both Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl. In co-op multiplayer mode, two players can each take control of one of the vitamins.

== Appearance ==

Vita-Boy: Vita-Boy is a blue vitamin characterized by a single antenna on his forehead. He has two semicircular protrusions on the sides of his head resembling earpieces, along with a pastel-blue teardrop-shaped marking on his face. His outfit consists of a blue bodysuit accented with pastel-blue lines, black pants, blue shoes, and black gloves.

Mina-Girl: Mina-Girl is a pink vitamin who differs from Vita-Boy by having two antennas on her forehead. She sports pigtail-like extensions on either side of her head and a pastel-pink heart-shaped facial marking. Long, thick eyelashes further distinguish her appearance. Her attire consists of a pink bodysuit with pastel-pink accents, black pants, pink shoes, and black gloves.

== Personality ==

Although Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl's dialogue is intentionally hidden from players, their actions and interactions reveal them to be kind-hearted, dependable, and highly capable. Players must interpret their thoughts and feelings through the perspectives of other characters throughout the game.

The pair is shown to be friendly toward fellow vitamins and members of the Sable family, while remaining fearless and competent when confronting germs and bacteria within microscopic environments. Despite their heroic roles, both characters are completely mute.

Even when unseen, Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl are constantly working to protect others from harmful pathogens. They remain dedicated to their mission of safeguarding humanity from bacteria and other microscopic threats. Together, they operate the Capsule Ship, which outwardly appears to be an ordinary vitamin supplement produced by Professor Uncle Supplement Co.
