While in the military he went by Ghost keeping his real identity hidden, he didn't want to talk about his family he just mostly kept to himself. MacTavish became inspired to join the SAS upon his first visit and started to visit every weekend. He is a sniper and demolitions expert in the SAS. Price recruits him for Task Force 141. A SAS sergeant known as the youngest candidate to pass their selection at sixteen years old, Soap is recruited into Task Force 141 by Captain Price to stop terroristic threats.")
