While there are other forms of currencies in Arcadia, Gold coins are the main currency in Arcadia and are accepted almost everywhere.

Magic is an integral part of this world, making instruction in it commonplace in both homes and schools. Some magi might choose to take on an apprentice or 2 to pass on their knowledge, while Magic Academies are specialized establishments solely dedicated to magical instruction and the cultivation of proficient Magi. These academies require approval from the Sages' Coven, and all must cover fundamental magical principles; some choose to emphasize specific branches of magic.

Familiars are mana given life in the form of an animal; they act as the assistants and pets of Magi, and any preexisting living thing can also become a Familiar.
