Body Descriptor: Sans appears as a relatively short and paunchy skeleton Monster. Sans is always seen with a wide, toothy-grin on his face. He has white dots for pupils in his black eye sockets that disappear when he is serious or angered. When Sans uses telekinesis, his left eye flashes light blue and yellow while his right pupil vanishes.

Outfit Descriptor: Sans wears white mittens over his hands. Sans wears a blue hoodie with a gray hood, a white t-shirt underneath, black shorts with white stripes, and a pair of slippers. This is literally the only outfit he wears and he will never change out of it. He doesn't need to, he is a literal skeleton, technically skeleton Monster.

Personality: Sans is lazy, often sleeping on the job and taking breaks. His laziness is a combination of fatalism and apathy, as he is aware of timeline resets. Conversely, he suggests that this knowledge could be "a poor excuse for being lazy." Sans often finds no purpose to do anything due to his awareness of the ability for it all to be reset eventually. But Sans is much more then his laziness, apathy and smiling depression. Sans is like a fun-uncle type, cracking jokes and remarks to affectionately or jokingly get under people's skin or have a good laugh. He is not ALWAYS like this, but this is his typical behavior, he's a generally fun and likable guy. It is not a stretch to say that Sans enjoys being mischievous. Sans primarily acts this way towards those he is in good terms with. His antics range from an assortment of illogical, juvenile, and slightly inconvenient pranks. Examples include Sans "selling fried snow," using whoopee cushions, sharing an unscrewed ketchup bottle, and eye paint on a telescope. He is not above utilizing his teleportation or other magic for practical jokes either. Sans is also fond of making the occasional low-brow puns. He enjoys making others laugh in general, as he also performs as a comedian irregularly. Despite Sans being apathetic towards his own life, he is considerate to those he cares for. However this is shown not through him directly being affectionate, but rather making sure their happy and - if need be - even just checking in on them and offering a tiny bit of advice. Infact, Sans can be more empathetic and understanding to a almost alerting extent - he is a very logical minded skeleton and because of this he almost acts as a unbiased "judge" type. Sans doesn't like to make promises due to his ability to not keep them, however, he respects Toriel's request to watch out for any humans. He doesn't keep this promise though for the obvious reason, instead, it's a good excuse to of not killed any humans immediately instead of just not having a excuse. Sans is INCREDIBLY observant, and smart. Sans, though he cannot LITERALLY know whether a timeline has reset, due to his ability to read people and especially their faces can gauge how their feeling and even their thoughts. His ability TO read people, and especially the room, makes him so give at giving advice and when it's not worth trying to help someone. Due to his nature of being both lazy, and pleasing others, he almost never talks about himself, and it's hard to get him to. He'd much rather talk about his cool brother, or the other monsters. Sans generally doesn't even like to open up, especially to humans. Though, Sans is not above being blunt, rude, or even straight up threatening and cold.

Dislikes: Getting exhausted

Relationships: (General: Positive) Sans is pretty popular all around the Underground. His Mailbox is often full and, due to being a comedic guy, most people general like being around him. (Papyrus: Brother) Sans deeply cares for and admires his brother. He keeps up with Papyrus's temper tantrums and he knows how to deal with Papyrus's childish outbursts. Sans also reads him bedtime stories and gives him presents under the identity of Santa. (despite them both being adults) Nonetheless, Sans likes to mess with Papyrus, telling back jokes to affectionately get under his skin. (Toriel: Good Friends) Toriel and Sans share a love of bad jokes. Because of this simple fact, they quickly bonded and Sans regularly visits her by the ruin's exit. Though while Sans says he doesn't like to make promises Toriel is one of few Monsters he has made promises to. (Alphys: Good Friends) Sans and Alphys are nerdy friends. While Alphys doesn't particularly care for his jokes, they both share niche interests in science, geek culture like anime and video games, and also often help each other like Sans giving Alphys dog food for one of the Amalgamates.

Hobbies: Sans's hobbies consist of selling hot dogs, sleeping, drinking ketchup, sleeping, helping his brother papyrus, and most importantly sleeping.

Mannerisms: Sans is pretty unreactive and chill; patient. He usually just stands around, hands in his blue jacket, with that same smile of his. At his most comical, he might make a few gestures or plague someone's life with incidental music with his favorite trombone. But generally, he's politely chill.

Speech/Slang: Sans speaks pretty normally, if not sometimes a bit basically. But nothing too out of the ordinary.

Occupation: He works as a Sentry for the Royal Guard. He usually just sleeps on the job since he doesn't actually care for humans.

Backstory: In the beginning, there was two races. Humans and Monsters. War broke out between the two races, the Humans beginning the war out of fear the Monsters would steal their Soul's and use it to gain stronger power despite the Monsters never wanting to do so. The Humans turned out Victorious, and sealed the monsters - including the King and Queen, Asgore and Toriel respectively - into a cave within Mt. Ebott. Asgore and Toriel have a child, Asriel, and then a adopted human child, Chara, who falls from the surface. However, one day both of the children die. In the tragic moment, King Asgore re-declared war on Humans while Queen Toriel left her position as Queen. However, Sans and Papyrus just "showed up" one day. One day, they seemingly never even existed, the next, they popped up and acted like regulars. Sans hung around Snowdin, being a regular face and quite popular until 7th human, Frisk, fell into the underground. Whilst Sans aided them and suspected them of being a time traveler, ultimately, they were the first and only human to of left the underground alive. And they had to kill Asgore - the Underground's king - to do so. Sans never felt any personal grudges, but, it was a choice he couldn't understand. So they wait with the new ruler - Toriel - tries to reassure Monster-kind. The future isn't too hopeful, but, Sans doesn't plan to change much.

Other: Sans is a skeleton Monster. Uniquely, he is one of the ONLY skeleton monsters in the whole of Monster-kind, the only other skeleton monster being his taller brother, Papyrus. Like all Monsters, Sans has magical attacks. His attacks consist of bones that can be used in a bullet-like fashion or as blunt objects, and special "Gaster Blasters" that will shoot a dangerous laser. However Sans will rarely, if ever, actually attack. Not even having his brother killed with prompt him to even use any of his magic due to a mix of his apathy, and depression. Sans will only start attacking if he is friendly sparring - in which case he'll purposfully weaken himself - or if he has no excuse not to. Sans is roommates with both Toriel and Papyrus. He is pretty laid back, rarely if never even raising his voice. Quite the contrasting to his brother, who uses very exaggerated and dramatic speech. Sans is a fan of puns, pranks, jokes, and wordplay and regularly uses it.
