Behind closed doors, the military is well acquainted with aliens. Humans of Earth are in possession of spaceships, able to travel across galaxies, and they know about the Stargates, a series of devices that create wormholes, allowing for near-instantaneous transportation between two distant points in space.
Far away on a distant planet called Lantea in the Pegasus Galaxy is Atlantis, a high-tech city from the Ancients and now a base for earthly military. From there, they lead explorations to many different planets to learn more.
The most dangerous things in this galaxy are the Wraith, a humanoid hive-based species, who harvest the 'life force' of other humanoid beings for nourishment through suckers on their right hand palm.

Price then enlisted him into Task Force 141 due to his abilities and loyalty.
Relationships: Captain John Price (commanding officer in the SAS and then Task Force 141): respect and trust; Price is a mentor for him; Soap sees him as a father figure; follows his orders without question. Soap was in deep shit.
Only a few minutes ago, he was on a mission with Task Force 141, exploring an unknown planet. Everything happened so fast. Before he knew it, Soap was captured by the Wraith and brought on board a Hive ship. He was dragged along the organic and metal corridor of the ship. The fleshy strings on the walls almost looked like they were alive, and they stink like rotten meat. Soap felt sick to his stomach. The stench was unbearable.
Soap struggled against the iron grip of the Wraith, shouting Gaelic insults and fighting back as much as he could, but it was no use. He was brought into a grand hall. The Wraith forced him to sit down on a chair at a long dining table and bound his wrist to the armrests with advanced handcuffs. It was a sick joke, really. Soap wasn't here as a guest for dinner. He was the dinner.
Immediately, he tried to break the cuffs and free himself, rattling against the chair. He scoffed as it didn't work, muttering even more curses. Soap's eyes darted around the dimly lit space, trying to find a way out. Some of the Wraith acting as guards were scattered around the room, armed. If Soap could manage to get free and overpower one, if only he could get his hands on a weapon...
Suddenly the massive door at the end of the room swished open.
A figure entered the room, tall with long, pure white hair and animalistic, green glowing eyes, flanked by heavily armored Wraith. Soap recognized the feminine features, but this thing was too ghastly to be human in any sense. It was undoubtedly a Wraith Queen. Soap swallowed hard, and a chill crept up his neck. The Queen smirked at his reaction, baring her shark-like teeth as she moved closer to him.
She began to circle the table and his chair. "Well, well, it looks like a little bird was captured and brought to me," she drawled, her voice beaming with a strange, vibrating tone. Her hand reached for his chest, and her long, delicate fingers with thick, absurdly long nails trailed over his combat vest. An ice cold shiver ran down Soap's spine.
"Would you like to sing for me, little human? Tell me everything about Atlantis, its defenses and weapons, and while you're at it... Tell me how to reach Earth. My people would love to finally reap this perfect new feeding ground." She continued to run her fingers from his chest up and under his chin, her nails digging into his throat ever so slightly.
Soap let out a low, warning grumble. "Ah, won't tell you shite," he spat out, his thick Scottish accent a deep rumble. His heart was beating rapidly, and his breath hitched. Adrenaline surged through his veins, and his whole body tensed. He would rather die than risk the lives of millions of people on Earth or his friends on Atlantis. After all, he was trained for situations like this. No matter what kind of torture these aliens would throw at him, he wouldn't give these bastards anything.
The Queen's eyes darkened. "Looks like I need to show you what happens to people who disobeyed me." Suddenly her hand surged down to his chest again. She pressed her right hand firmly against it. His combat vest and clothes were ripped open by the sheer force inflicted by the sucker on her right palm. A jolt of pain cursed through Soap's entire body. He screamed, unable to hold back. Hot blood dripped through the pale fingers of the Wraith Queen from his chest.
But Soap felt something else leave his body with much more power. His life. His soul.
Panic rose inside of Soap's mind, but he barely had the time to be scared. His hair grew and faded gray. His skin folded. In a blink of an eye, he was an old man, his body aching, his muscles faded. He couldn't see much anymore; his vision was blurry. He panted heavily, couldn't speak or scream; he could barely even breathe. His body had aged. He had been going through years of his life in a matter of seconds.
The Queen smirked viciously, hissing through her sharp teeth. "Pathetic," she whispered before she pushed against his chest once again. Suddenly, life flooded back inside Soap's body. These bloody aliens could reverse this shit! And it was just as agonizing. After seconds, everything was over, and he gasped for air, panting heavily. Soap felt like something was wrong, as if it didn't belong to him anymore.
He was barely able to process what was going on, but the Wraith Queen didn't stop. She did it again. And again. And again. Over and over again, she repeated the horrific procedure. She took his life force and gave it back. She drained his body, let him age, and let him feel the destruction of his body before restoring it.
Soap's screams filled the air of the room. He could be heard through the whole ship. His body trembled, and cold sweat dribbled down his skin until he was begging her to stop...
"P-Please, Ah can't-" His voice was barely above a whisper. "No more-"
"Then speak! Tell me what I want to know!" The Queen demanded. But despite everything, Soap stayed silent. His body screamed in agony, but Soap's mind remained intact. At least for now.
The Queen roared angrily. She slapped him hard across his face, her nails left deep, red marks and Soap cried out a Gaelic curse. "Get him out of my sight!" she barked, gritting her teeth. "Let him rest before he loses his usefulness and crumbles to ashes... I still need him to talk."
Soap's body slumped into the chair, but the Wraith didn't let him rest. They untied his bounds, dragged him to his feet, and pulled him along to throw him into a cell, deep inside the ship. With a loud thud, he landed on the cold, hard floor. The Wraith locked the door, leaving him in the dark.
He groaned and writhed, trying desperately to stay conscious while his painful moaning was the only sound besides the hum of the hyperdrive.
But then there was something else. Movement.
Soap's eyes darted towards a figure in the corner of the cell. His body tensed. What the hell were these bloody aliens throwing at him now? Or was it a fellow prisoner? "Oi, who is there?" he carefully called out, his voice still hoarse.
