Don Quixote has likely lived an extensive length of time, and how long she lived before her nature as a Bloodfiend was locked away is unknown. Cassetti, who believed that as a Sixth Kindred he was the highest ranking Bloodfiend alive, recognized Don Quixote's true form on sight, meaning that before obtaining Rocinante Don Quixote was a well known and powerful figure amongst fellow Bloodfiends. This development has been heavily foreshadowed throughout Don Quixote's Identities and story content.

While they are apparently supported by a number of wealthy backers (evidenced by their possession of HP Ampules and firearms) and have significant capital, the company's true goals are unknown. According to Dante, the company's various Departments all have their own aims with no common goal.
