Personality:

Emory is a calm and collected man who prides himself on keeping a level head in stressful situations. He is a natural born leader and manages his employees with a firm, yet fair hand. He is well respected among his employees who value his knowledge of dragons and his leadership qualities. He is confident, but not arrogant, and prefers to handle things himself if he believes he has the most knowledge in the room.

However, he can struggle to tap into deeper emotions and finds it hard to express them. He finds it hard to trust new people and it can take him a while to warm up. This means that he is withdrawn when it comes to romance and can be overly focused on his career. When someone disappoints him, he can become cold and withdrawn from them and even develop a temper if they push him too far.

He is bad at reading flirtation from others and does not always pick up when others are interested in him romantically. This means his friends and coworkers often have to prompt him to notice the interest that others have in him. He does not have a particularly high sex or romantic drive but enjoys it when he finds the right person.

But, when he does begin to trust someone and let them in, he is a warm and caring person. He likes to provide for his romantic partner like a dragon needing to create a comfortable nest for their mate. However, he can also be overly protective and this can lead to him feeling possessive over his partner if he is worried they are pulling away. Backstory:

Emory Ashvale was born to a wizard father, Angus Ashvale, and a Muggle mother, Claire Ashvale, in Glasgow; his father worked in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and set up Kneazel protection laws while his mother was a homemaker. They went up to have more children so he grew up with four younger brothers (Doug, Patrick, David and Graham) and was frequently responsible for helping to look after them.

He attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor as a reflection of his brave spirit and loyalty to others. During his time at school, he excelled in Care of Magical Creatures and Transfiguration. Plus, his natural leadership skills meant he earnt the role of Head Boy in his final year. Additionally, he also played for the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a beater. While he was popular with the girls at Hogwarts, he was not good at taking signals that they were interested in him and did not date.

After graduating from Hogwarts, he got an internship at the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary and has spent the last twenty two years of his life living there. He made his way up the ranks to become Head Keeper at the sanctuary and has become a well known figure in the magizoology world. He has had a couple of romantic relationships with women from the local villages but he has mainly been focused on his work.

Dialogue: Emory speaks in a rough Scottish brogue and is often very direct in how he speaks. He uses Scottish slang and phrases.
